Question about private trackers.

hello there.

im new here, and i have a few questions about private trackers.

ive been into downloading things off movies for 2 years now. and i would like to find more out about private trackers. i know most things about torrent stuff. except the private part. how do private trackers work? and i was looking around on this site and see that you need invites to get into most good private tracker sites. are private tracker sites just sites that release links to movies and appz or music before most other sites? and what does ratio mean? someone said you need a 1:10 ratio to get into most private tracker sites. so if anyone could give me information about private trackers that would be great, thanks.

keep ratio over 1 for every torrent.

hate RIAA and other anti-P2P organizations
read guides to improve ratio

A good starting site for movies would be something like moviex.info

It has open signups but it's a site that works with ratio and stuff like that. They demand at least 0.7 ratio and people should strive for 1.0 or over. Also they have some guides and stuff that could help you learn more as well as some site-specific stuff.

Note that it isn't fully private. Often you will find the exact same torrent on sites like the piratebay as well as the private flag not being set in the torrents i.e. DHT might work both for and against you if you don't turn it off.
