Hi, I'm downloading a few torrents using Ares P2P, but I need to move the files to a different drive. Does anyone know a way to do this without starting the torrent again and losing my progress?

STOP all P2P activity and reboot. You should not lose your progress.
COPY the files that you have completed to the new drive first.
In Ares change the completed files folder to the new drive\folder etc
Restart Ares and see if the files that are 100% complete are available for seeding from the new drive location.
If so, STOP ares and reboot.
Compare the files that are 100% completed on the NEW drive to the files in your previous completed folder. If LARRY MOE AND CURLY DVD V1 is on the new drive, delete the original form the drive you need to free up space.
When you have successfully deleted all the files that were moved to the new drive, do this: (just paste in the red)
Start > Run > CMD > chkdsk E: /f (the bold is whatever the freed up drive letter is)
After that has completed, Go to Start > Run > %SystemRoot%\system32\dfrg.msc
Defrag the freed up drive and make note of how much free space you now have. DO NOT exceed 80% of the total drive volume, free space should always be more than 20%.
I dont use Ares, so this may vary slightly with changing the directories, but you get the gist if it. I usually have my files download to one drive, then have the P2P client move the file to a new location upun completion, thus instantly defraggin.
good luck

I'm so guilty.. That's good advice about the 80% free drive space, more than a few times I've gone to download something with uTorrent but at least it tells me that there's not enough space on the drive.. ;)
At that point I can't even defrag, and I have to get the DVDrs or my Book drive and start copying off. Yeah, you can get errors and stuff when low on disk space. Right now I'm at 10% of my 200G free..
