Interesting....did you ever read of Nikola Teslas inventions? He had developed ways to harness electricity from the atmosphere with a machine the size of a washing machine and a antenna. It was said that Edison and his cronies did him in as his inventions were light years ahead of what Edison was doing and undercut the concepts Edision was then developing.
Teslas inventions would have created a vastly different world then the one we are in now. No centralized power sources etc. The future isn't bright if all we have is variations on the current themes of controlling and doling out energy as it is now.

We really need more news like this and further breakthroughs in delivering our ever growing power needs.

I agree, Tesla had great ideas with his power experiments.
Also I think that the internet should be more decentralised so that fewer big corps are controlling it and doling out bandwidth and access.
I hope that the long range wi-fi airwaves that are supposed to be coming will allow large LANs, but since they are auctioning the frequencies, I don't think it will be open to all like 802.11 is. Wait until enough new long range equipment gets out there and we understand the concept, then the pirates will begin..

Really if we had our power produced by fusion and our cars powered by hydrogen (or even electricity for that matter) the green issue would be all but gone.
Plus, there would be more political stability, with less reliance of Middle Eastern oil etc.

The Band and the Inventor both Rock!
Ever seen a Tesla coil? it's that weird gizmo even used in old science fiction movies. It's like this ball that shoots out streams of electricity. Trippy hehehe

Yes, I have seen the Tesla Machine... and please define "normal."
As far as I know, "normal" is simply a cycle on the washing machine.
*Glad to know I can still fool people*
... errr..I mean nice to meet you!

OK perhaps there is a better word but the idea is like mellow and not as prone to needing a spin cycle to dry out... Anyway semantics aside I think you might get my original intent.
yeah you probably could fool me easily lol
It's all cool :icon_salu
Potato! I am not familiar with that Movie. I have actually sometimes gone as long as 4 years without watching TV, listening to the Radio or going to the Miovies hehehe...I am in media mode now but not real big on it hehehe I do watch stuff through the various media outlets at times.

I think we will somehow free ourselves from middle east oil but the big money machines will still hold the control over us. Meaning the real jerks are not in the middle east but the banks and mega corporations running everying behind the scenes.
We need to find a way to make power decentralized and make people truly independent. Teslas machines could have done that. As well as made a eco friendly system of providing energy!

There is absolutely no proof of that whatsoever. In fact, I would like for you to buy up all the houses next to power substations please.
We run headling in to everything, the only locomotive force in all this is the people who have the money to make money.
There has never been an era in this world where biological entities (or anything else for that matter) has lived with and survived the amount of electromagnetic bombardment that we do.
Just because you CAN zap shit at a distance and make money from it, doesnt mean it's a good idea to.
