Hi all

First off let me apologise, i have NO idea what it was until about 10 minutes ago so i dont know if its taboo to mention the word... forigve me...

im in the uk and today it was announced that ISP's must monitor internet activity for file sharing and overheard on the radio someone said that Usenet cannot be monitored.

so here are my questions.

1) By the looks of things usenet is not free except through your isp... ok what? you can download files free... through your isp who is trying to stop you downloading files for free... uhh what??? some please explain that to me

2) In your opion whats the best for speed, best for price and the best for both price and speed.

3) where does a begginer like me start, just saying usenet makes my head spin, so please a little 'oh you wanna look here' or 'avoid like the plague' and anything else you think is good advice.

thanks in advanced

also i forgot to mention the most anonomous way to use usenet, at the end of the day the fact you have to pay for an account will always be traceable back to you tho right?

if you'd read all of the info in that thread and followed all of the links you'd know it answers all of your questions.

Hi.
Oh, you wanna look here,
http://www.tgos.org/newbie/

and here too,
http://www.newsgroupreviews.com/Tutorial.html

After you go thru those 2, if you would still like recommendations on which provider is best ( which is completely relative), c'mon back and we can all argue the merits and drawbacks of our personal preferences.

the links to zeropaid no longer work typical zeropaid, that's just one of the reasons this site is to not be taken seriously.

2) My provider of choice and the one I have highly recommended for years, Newshosting (http://www.newshosting.com/en/index.php).

3) Read Slyck's (http://www.slyck.com/ng.php) Newsgroup guide.
