If a new report is to be believed, an entire generation of children has grown up drinking a toxic chemical from their earliest months: bisphenol A. A consortium of North American environmental and health groups released a paper Thursday showing that many major-brand baby bottles leach bisphenol A, and is now calling for a moratorium on the use of the compound — used to make polycarbonate plastic — in food and beverage containers.

I breastfed all of my kids.

They didn't seem to get a lot of nourishment but it really built a bond.

breastfeeding conjures up nightmares of my youth.

I'd dream I was Dolly Parton's baby, and was bottle fed.

How big were your lips?

Did you pull them back with tie-straps to make it feel more real?

Probably big enough they'd just wet em and stick him to the window when he didn't eat all his vegetables.

Have you ever tried revisiting baby bottles as an adult?

Sounds strange, but actually rather enjoyable - also spill free for drinking juice etc in bed etc!

Stick to glass and rubber. No point in risking it.

hi,

In someway it is harmful, because it contains toxic chemicals,
which affects the baby.
But for office going mothers it is helpful, only to some extent.
Using plastic bottle must not be mandatory.

But breast feeding is very helpful and protective.
At the same time it builds the relationship between mother and the child.
