power cut messed up azareus

Hi, after a power cut this morning, Azareus stopped downloading or uploading. All the DL smilies were red and the ULs blue. I checked my settings, did the NAT test, restarted the program a few times, uninstalled the program then reinstalled it, installed uTorrent which also didn't work,restored my computer to a restore point from yesterday, tore my hair out a bit more and am now asking if anyone here has a suggestion or a solution.
My OS is vista home premium, there originally were no error messages but after the system restore there was a missing plugin. I can't download this as Azereus isn't working.
