wininit.exe

Can anyone advise on this?... I used a app called windows doctor which found a running process called "wininit.exe" The app recommended terminating the process as it was a direct result of the "WOLLF.16 virus" However, once I had terminated it I got a blue screen!
the PC rebooted and the process was still running, I tried it in safe mode and the same happened. I'm running Vista home basic, and Norton 2008.
Should I leave alone or does anyone know how to fix it, Thanks, - Jay.
