Download won't work!

Hi

I just downloaded BT 2 days ago. I downloaded Civilizations IV, but when I try to start the game, my computer slows down like mad and I have to reboot. (I can't stop it because it doesn't appear on the task manager) I really just want to play Civilizations, please help!

It's pretty difficult to know what's wrong as there could be so many things. Firstly, is your computer high enough spec to play civ 4? It's actually suprisingly resource heavy. Also, have you installed the most recent upgrade, you never know, that might help. It might also be to do with the crack/image you are using, so perhaps try a diffrent one - gamecopyworld.com is good for that. Hope this helps

Also, this site is about P2P, not debugging your lack of gaming knowledge. Go to gaming sites and get your answers.

My guess is that your PC is doing the work instead of your video card, but I am not going to entertain 20 more questions to find out.

I'm going to assume that you already know that for .iso files you have to burn it to a disc before you can play it, that or mount it to your h/d. Part of me is thinking your computer might be trying to open the .iso image in word pad. Are you running windows XP or Vista, you can only run civilization on those platforms. Do you meet the minimum system requirements? (http://www.2kgames.com/civ4/support_msr.htm)If you said yes to the above the game could be a bad torrent, did you read the comments? Are you running an up to date system, are your graphic drivers up to date? Did you recently use your pc as a sex box?
