Port Forwarding

Hey I am trying to forward port 45682 for UTorrent. I set up a static IP, then went to portforward.com and followed all instructions, then I turned windows firewall off. I should have the port open now, but when I go to canyouseeme.org it still says the port is not open!!

Another question, if the port really IS closed, would I not be getting any downloads whatsoever on utorrent? Or would the port being closed only make them slower?

TORRENT FREAK, speed your whatever (those are keywords, but there are links here, at ZP, too. Search w/my name , perhaps, though others have written about this hack as well.). uGH. No link today....

i think you have done it wrong, cause it should be open

maybe sure you have done two slots, the same port, but one is tcp and the other one as well.

that should make it work

lol i dont know that much about port forwarding but then something else is blocking you from opening or connecting.

you will get downloads if your ports are closed but they will be really slow and your uploads will be even slower as you can not connect to any other peers

run the connection test in utorrent. Then use it's port mapping feature.

Click options and then preferences and then connections.
Check: enable upnp port mapping & add utorrent to windows firewall exceptions.

Do not use random port. Choose your port > Click apply and OK to close out the preferences.

Press CNTR + G (Options > Speedguide) and select "test if port is forwarded properly"

If it says OK, then ure in like flint bro. If not, then take a close look in ure router cause some restriction is holding you back & it may be a firewall built in setting.
