Bush, and attached Josh Brolin to play the title role.

The director has begun quietly shopping a script by his "Wall Street" (http://www.variety.com/profiles/Film/main/32108/Wall%20Street.html?dataSet=1) co-writer Stanley (http://www.variety.com/profiles/people/main/81407/Stanley.html?dataSet=1) Weiser.


Pic will be produced by Moritz Borman (http://www.variety.com/profiles/people/main/32766/Moritz%20Borman.html?dataSet=1), who teamed with Stone on "World Trade Center" (http://www.variety.com/profiles/Film/main/172791/World%20Trade%20Center.html?dataSet=1) and "Alexander, (javascript:zodInfuser.FillDescriptions('"Alexande r"');)" and Jon Kilik (http://www.variety.com/profiles/people/main/30284/Jon%20Kilik.html?dataSet=1), a producer of "Alexander (http://www.variety.com/profiles/people/main/68634/Alexander.html?dataSet=1)" as well as "Pinkville," the pre-strike project about the Army's investigation of the My Lai massacre in Vietnam (http://www.variety.com/profiles/people/main/2307310/VietNam.html?dataSet=1) that Stone expected to direct until United Artists (http://www.variety.com/profiles/Company/main/2078359/MGM%20Television%20Entertainment.html?dataSet=1) pulled the plug late last year.

Interesting. I imagine Brolin will need to work really hard on fitting into that character, looks and mannerisms and all. I'll be looking forward to how this turns out.
