Yesterday, ZeroPaid reported on the Eurpean Commission wanting a consumer friendly market for consumers. While it may be a welcome initiative, the Open Rights Group notes that it may be too late for Pandora.

Pandora, a website known for taking popular music and finding similar lesser-known artists with a similar style for internet users, was dealt with another blow recently.

I cry when angels deserve to die.

I love Pandora and use it daily. The music industry are fools for not realizing it's potential. This is the primary reason why the RIAA has no right to exist. They have no desire to evolve. They do not want progression. They do not want advancement. Pandora is one of the few legitimate companies that proved that legal music services could be both legitimate and forward looking with almost unlimited potential for music discovery.

Unfortunately, music discovery is the "enemy" of the Music Industry. They don't want you to find obscure artists, they don't want you to find independent bands. The RIAA wants you to listen to who they tell you to listen to.

Like the dinosaurs, big, clumsy, resource unfriendly and soon to be deceased. The RIAA's days are very few and soon to be deceased.
