Help with Elbitz (This is not a request for invite thread)

Dear all,

I recently joined elbitz and was exuberant. I was a contributing and donating member of demonoid and when I found Elbitz i was so thrilled!. For the first few hours I was able to access the site without any hassle but after that bam. I can only randomly access it and seldom can connect to the site. The problem is that I have downloaded approximately 5GB and my upload seems to suck and hence I've gotten a 'warning' to raise my ratio to 0.6 otherwise risk getting banned.

Now, I have plenty of premium stuff that I intend to share (stuff that I paid for,etc) and would love to share with the community but I can't even seem to enter so how do I go about uploading stuff to them?

Does anybody know an elbitz mirror or can someone direct me to their IRC chat room or help desk contact (i can't even click on that without getting disconnected) so that i can explain the problem to them. I have photos of actual educational DVD's that I've actually purchased an amassed over the years. I sincerely pray, wish and hope that I continue to remain a member of great sites like elbitz, etc.

Ok i was thankfully able to send them a message! Yes!

1. The site has been extremely sluggish in the past few days. I've tried to get in a few times to no avail. It's seems to be more responsive now. After a warning you get 5 days, so it's possible you haven't been banned yet and your troubles getting in have been site related.

2. irc.slashnet.org #elbitz

you have to use SSL

And you have to register like this:

/msg nickserv register [yourpassword] [youremail]

and then you will be asked to verify your nick name

you can verify your nick like that

/msg nickserv identify [yourpassword]


3. Ummm... if you were a 'contributing' member at Demonoid, why are you leeching so much at Elbitz? Regardless of your upload speed, you have to make sure you give enough before you take any more.

My intention was to leech and upload at the same time, but after being able to download and leech (i left my computer alone) and when I came back, I saw that my downloads had almost completed and I had uploaded so little!

I will rectify the ratio upload asap.

I myself am finding it impossible to logon to elbitz.net. I just signed up last nite, and download one torrent, which i let run thru the nite. When I checked elbitz today, i was able to logon then when I tried to download a second torrent I received the warning about increase ratio. I thought nothing of it at the time because I was still seeding the torrent from the night before. Well after repeated attempts to download another torrent file, I kept getting a 'host unreachable response'. I tried different browsers ie. opera, firefow, seamonkey. but still am not able to reach there site. I tried pinging there site and received a response from there server....

I am trying to find their irc chat, but am not having much luck using the #elbitz channel I am using mIRC client, is there sumthing I am missing or not doing right.. On the client I am connected to slashnet server and trying to join channel #elbitz

Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

It's weird, I tried logging on with IE, FF and Opera, but no cigar. I checked downforeveryoneorjustme.com and they say it's just me. So I tried a proxy and viola, I get logged on. WTF? I never use elbitz, but this is strange. It's like their blocking an IP range(s) or something.

Then why could I log in using a proxy?
