While that does satisfy part of his request, he did ask for good trackers. As far as that goes, I would recommend hdbits.

Sure, I could recomend HD-Bits, but who says they want HIM, even if he could some get an invite? I'm not directing the dreg of the internet to good BT sites so they can leech till they get kicked out.

Sites like HD-Bits are hard to get in to for a reason, and I like it that way.

Leeching till they get kicked out just helps the good users boost their ratio :P

HDBITS.ro
Bit-HDTV
HDBits.org

These are all invite only tho.

btw, you'll find a large amount of HD videos on some public trackers as well.

if you want to watch a hd movie or tv show, how big should your screen to actually see the differences? i am just wondering, becuase i am going to buy a tv soon, a hd one, i know the basics, like 720p and 1080 or whatever, but what size should the screen be as a minimal size to see the great differences.

thanks anyways

If you buy a set with native 1920x1080p resolution, you need a 40" screen or larger. 720p and 1080p still only go so far, so the larger screen you use the less great it will look up close. A movie will not look the same on a 40" vs a 46" or a 52".

I bought 3 more HDTVs this year, and my desktop is a 40" Samsung for PC, XBOX, HD DVD and Cable channels.

Shows that are broadcast in regular 480i will look shitty on a larger screen depending on the HDTV features that can stretch the picture etc.

There are plenty of threads on this around, so lets not hijack this one to continue this topic.

I need an invite to some private HD sites, I'm no leech either, always seed to at least 1.0 if not 1.5 to 2.0

:)

Does it help if I send out a life-line plea from Shanghai (stuck here and good content is really hard to come by, unless you want to go local and get viruses aka: Getting Shanghai'd)

Was that inappropriate ? Should I have started a completely new topic ? Not familiar with the forum etiquette here as I'm not a regular (already on 6 others, all non-BT related though).

Sorry if I spoiled the topic by putting this out of place, just looking for a little help. I was running some searches on the forum for topics I was researching and didn't pay attention to the post dates, my bad.

No harm, no foul if no one wants to offer.

I do understand how clicky forums can be as I moderate on a couple other sites, so please, by all means the regulars here should point me in the right direction.

Actually you don't do it at all, new topic or not. No worries though, I think you'll fit in fine if you cared to find out what you did wrong. There is another thread for this trading matter although I'm afraid I might have set you back some.

Moderate me as appropriate, I've only really started BT'ing in the last 3 months or so and am working my way through the physical layers and trying to get as smart as I can as fast as I can.....

Lots more mistakes coming, I know that for sure.

I've got the general idea, but am having trouble 'getting connected' so I can share and dL, also got some problems with my set-up (as I discussed with some other very helpful people in another thread).

One step at a time, so please MODS file this appropriately. I'll hunt around for my connection and uL / dL issues......

Sorry all, happy to be here.

so we have established that you are not a troll, yet require some assistance. since you've been decent enough to admit your mistakes, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt. if you contribute to the forums regularly you may find some invites coming your way, for real. being a mod on other forums, you'll recognise why we hate one post wonders who contribute nothing to the community but kamikaze sprees begging for invites. lets see how this turns out, welcome btw.

Therein lies the rub, I feel like I'm somewhat in a Catch 22 type situation - which I think a lot of people realize at some point or another. Yes, I've been around the forum block quite a few times, but the BT block very very scarcely.

I do have some good content (music and some movies) to contribute, but hard to contribute if you can't get connected, why would anyone "connect" if you haven't contributed.... such is the circle. So I feel like I'm still at square one trying to get into the fast lane so I can dL and uL with the group (give and take).

I do think I know some things and wouldn't mind sharing what I know / understand, but I feel like it pales in comparison to the experts so I'm cautious about claiming I know the best solution for this or that (when I'm trying to optimize my set-up so I can be an efficient contributor (as well as leech in the proper balance)).

Hope that all makes sense. Really trying to learn (walk) before I can teach (run) and currently feel really buried in the layers and layers of systems and settings.

Sorry guys.

Were you able to sort out your configuration (port forward) issues with utorrent from the above quoted thread? If you have not, then how do you expect to keep a reasonable ratio on private BT trackers?

You should read the rules here (http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/announcement.php?f=58) before asking people for invitations. Rehashing old threads and begging for invites is not a good way to start.

w31n3r's advise is good. Many members are not so patient, including mods. It looks like someone neg repped you already, so you see what I'm talking about. Go to your control panel to see what the neg repper says about you. Shake it off and start again.

great, even a dumb fuck would have read what i said a few posts above so that means now we have invite whoring bots too. if this thread has served it's purpose, with due respect to the author it should be closed before it descends into being yet another cess poll of invite whores.

Hey guys, I want to formally apologize for making such bone head moves right out of the gate - most of that was generated as a result of a 23 hr. continuous stint working on BT and other network issues I was having.

I APOLOGIZE !!!!!

I'm not out of the woods yet, messed around and went direct to the wall vs. through the router and modified my IP settings and some other things (testing if my router was causing me problems) - no change so I went back and put all the settings back. Now I've got NO BT connections whatsoever and I keep getting a wmiprvse.exe error every two seconds.

EDIT: NOT my thread to close / pit, disregard this statement - it made no sense.

Once I figure out how to unfcuk myself I'll be back in better form to contribute and take a 2nd crack at being a better contributor here........

sceneHD is a great tracker for tv

They are down right now so they can move there tracker

There is a very large freeleach section that has tv seasons

There has been a problem with being able to upload since everyone has been using seed boxes

I think that something will change when they start back up next year.

Maybe they will give credit for the time you spent uploading

Not just how much you upload (who cares anymore)
