After getting new PC I installed latest Azureus client (3.0.3.4.), but now experiencing some problems with downloading/uploading speed. I have 1Mb/sec dsl connection, on old version of Azureus I reached maximum speed without any problem (if torrent file was in good health)-
128 kB/s when dl and 32kB/s when ul.
Now I have no control of speed. In "tools-settings-transfers" I put speed values: 0 kb/s (unlimited) for both DL and UL. However, after just a few seconds these values start changing
in strange manner, limiting my speed to low values (mostly cca 20 kB/s dl and 5 kB/s ul)!
Tried saving 128 kB/s (DL) and 32 kB/s (UL), but with same result. Also tried with setting speed for each torrent. No results.
Am I missing something? Help! Plz?

Hi~
I am sorry, but I cannot tell you anything about, as I use utorrent (lower on sys resources)...
Perhaps it has a "Default" setting (like utorrent does)... unless this is what you're talking about with "tools-settings-transfers"?
Regardless, I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be around to help you soon. Hang in there! :icon_salu

If i remember right, az has a setting to choose your limits automatically based off of what speeds the client is getting at any given moment. Go through ALL the options in the client, and make sure something like this is not set. It has been a long time since I have used/seen AZ, so I could be wrong.
Try uTorrent, this will tell you if its a client setting or not.

Thanks both, drtoker and HelenaP! Good to see some1 trying to help.
Yes, I fixed default values, however it does not help. I am afraid my internet provider started blocking filesharing, but not sure. Will try to find out what's going on. But first of all will uninstall this latest version and install the old one I used for some years, just to check out the differences.

Who is your ISP?
There's a list of known ISP's that throttle somewhere.

Here's a list of 'bad ISP's', may help to determine if your ISP is interfering with your traffic.

Also, I recommend using an older version of azureus. I use 2.5.0.4. You could try restoring the settings to default but I would leave that as a last resort. But if you can do without it, utorrent is a much lighter client.

Believe or not, it works!!!
I just installed an older version of Azureus (2.5...) and updated it to latest version. And guess what? DL and UL speed stays rock solid at its max. Oh boy!
It was hard to watch uploading file limited on 5kB/s!
Thanks to every1, good to have a place where u can ask for help, being sure u shall get some!
Aniway, would like to know what was wrong.
HelenaP, drtoker, thepuzzler and dizzle4... My big thanks:icon_thum
