Leopard isn't for everybody, but if you think it's for you, keep in mind that upgrading an entire operating system is rarely a simple task. Though Apple makes it easier than most, there are still plenty of things that could go wrong if you're not careful. Should you choose to buy Leopard, here are some guidelines to walk you through the job and get you on your way to playing with the system's new features.

the improvements are so minimal I have no clue what justifies purchasing...

Minimal?! No way. I've been using it on my ibook for about 3 weeks now and am totally in love with it.

Integrated Coverflow file browsing,
Stacks,
Spaces (virtual desktops)
and Time Machine

Make it worth the upgrade on it's own.

(Apparently there are over 300+ updates in Leopard)

Thanks for this. I'm definitely going to be upgrading in the future but I really see no need for it at the moment. Honestly, I just don't want to ƒµçk anything up :)

I waited in line for 1.5 hours at the Apple store to get it, mostly for the free t-shirt.

When I installed it, I did an upgrade, and after about 20% in, it totally froze. In the end, I ended up totally reinstalling the system. Good thing I backup regularly.
