Hello, does anybody know what happend yestarday in RevoTT? I've been active member for more than a year, visiting the site daily, seeding every night, got great ratio (1.749, 448.60 GB Up, 256.46 GB down) and got 20mbit up/20mbit down line, so the speed was also great.
Suddenly today I found my account disabled with no explanation, the latest IP I was logged on to their website is BANNED (ERROR 403: Unauthorized IP address.).
I have really no idea what I have done wrong. I love Revott, I would never knowingly violate thier terms of use... any ideas? Anyone here still having account at RevoTT and knows what's up??

I know it's running. My account was disabled for unknown reason for me. Can anyone who still has account there maybe contact the admins and ask them what I did wrong? I have checked - I've been active member of RevoTT for more than 2 or 3 years now. Never got any problems or warnings, seeding like crazy on high speeds all the time. I think it's really unusual to get account disbled with my status and without any warning.
Here's the latest screenshot (attached) of my details taken from this morning after my account was disabled (I still had the page loaded in my browser from yesterday evening).

My account was disabled some time within the last week or so. I had uploaded about 40 GB and downlaoded very little. The only thing that had changed over the last week is my seedbox was down.

I have managed to contact people from RevoTT (#help cahnnel, others are invite only). I was told by two admins, that they recorded me as a "cheater", that I was uploading almost 2MB/s (1.78 MB/s) on a torrent with no leechers (I have 20 mbit up, 20 mbit down line, so such speeds are possible by me). I was like: wtf? How is that even possible? Isn't that supposed to be managed by tracker somehow? I only run legit Azureus and keep seeding what I download, let the tracker/client decide what's supposed to be downloaded from me. Plus - I have massive optical line at home, I really don't need to cheat, my ratio is always great and I'm a member at RevoTT almost since the beginning - so why should I start to cheat suddenly? I really don't quite understand what happend, but if that happend, then it's somekind of bug either in my client or their tracker. I was told to come back next day to get in touch with the admin who did the ban. The very next day I was there, but as soon as the admin arrived I was kickbanned from the channel with no explanation - no one was willing to talk to me anymore, even though I was willing to help them track down the bug. Ignorance is bliss. I think that they don't need to make their site bugfree, they only care about to find any small reason to lower user numbers. RevoTT is great site, but it's managed by ignorant people.
Anyway - anybody has an idea HOW can a tracker record an upload on a torrent with no leechers? I'm using Azureus 3.0.2.2.

actually ive seen that happen a few times. i understand that most people that come with those stories are cheaters, but some people that do actually have access to high upload speeds get banned cos ignorant admins consider they were cheating.
I remember a guy I met sometime ago that was able to use a 10 gigabit line (YES TEN) on weekends. I cannot explain on detail for my own safety but this guy managed to use this 10 gigabit line for his own purposes. He was banned from 3 private trackers due to his high upload speed because according to them he was cheating. Those sites dont know what theyve lost lol
to the people that were banned drcain chamonofx derived and a couple others, dont bother to try to get your account back. Those guys usually dont listen.

Tried that - they don't listen :) Even though thay asked me to go to www.speedtest.net and provide the link to results (and I did), even that was probably not sufficient proof to them.

Just spoke to one of the admins. He says I was banned for only downloading 5MB over 28 weeks, and therefore I'm not an active member of the site "in real human terms" - despite uploading heaps.
Lesson: Download stuff occasionally.

yeah, I learned a lesson too (r0nhax0r gave a great example too): If you have a good line with upload speeds that will make lots of leechers happy, just shape your upload to crappy DSL speeds so you can fit into the masses..

Hi. Hope you get your account sortred out.
I'm going off track here I know, and I'm appealing to your better nature. Is there any chance any of you guys would give me an invite to RevTT. I gave an invite to pisexy to a lamer who said he had Revtt invites, but as soon as I sent the invite he ignores all my contacts. So I got a little burned:-(
If anyone on this thread would like to invite me I promise good ratio's

RevoTT banned about 1000 users recently for various reasons. Some were cheating, and admin do have ways to check that, others who looked suspicious or are not contributing in any way to the community.
They have ways of checking on how people are using their accounts. They don't just ban people for nothing, so anyone who got banned it was done for a reason, and if often has nothing to do with how good your ratio is.

Man, Thats horrible. RevoTT doesn't play about anything. Ive invited two people and they were both banned. One of the greatest trackers out there......My condolences. P.S. If your banned, your banned. No help from revo Admins. Trust me.

One of the "problems" on revoTT for new users is that they see all the great stuff available and are astounded by the super speeds they get, and they start grabbing everything in site. even though they've been given a startup gift of 1.86GB u/l credit, they go way overboard downloading and within a very short period of time their ratio is in the toilet, their d/l rights are blocked, and they are screwed. Many MANY new members are banned in two weeks because of this. They are at least given a warning period of two weeks to improve their ratio. If they don't, they are banned.
everyone is asked to read the rules and the faq when they join, then they come into the forums whining that "nobody told me" about ratios, etc. The rules are clear, and people who manage to think before they act have no problem maintaining a good ratio by managing their d/l and u/l.
I'm not posting this to dump on anyone, I'm just providing information to people wondering what the hell happened with their revo account. Most of the time getting banned is simply a matter of abusing the rules. And MuadDib, you are so right. Once banned you are banned for good. Your IP is banned so there's no point getting someone else to invite you. RevoTT is the best site around because of the amazing speeds. I regularly get films in about 1/2 hour, or maybe an hour for a DVDR. I don't know many sites that offer speeds like that.
For anyone who wants invites, I'll save you some trouble and tell you that trading/selling Revo invites is not permitted. Anyone found doing it is banned and so is the person they invite.
A tough site, but a fair one to those who use it correctly.

i spoke to one of the guys that was banned and he sent me a link to his speedtest showing upload speeds of over 87 MB/s. He states the line is a 2 Gb/s upload / 2 Gb/s download line but it is usually busy so he can get up to that speeds. I was like dude you dont need more than that. The guy ssaid that was able to get his account back from TD but revtt banned him from the IRC when he tried to get his account back. It seems like that day the speedtest was like 30 MB/s and the max speed registered he had was like 50.
It seems to me these admins are trigger happy when they need to ban people. I insist, most of the guys that come with these stories are cheaters, but around 5-10% are not and get banned anyway.
I'd recommend to these guys that before using high speeds like that, contact the admins and explain their situation. It can be annoying if you use tons of trackers but it is safe at least.

Yup, this exactly my story - except that I "only" have 20 mbit upload. I have also provided the speedtest.net results - they asked for it. That were "the other" admins. Once the one who did the ban arrived, I got kickban from IRC without a single word. I guess, just *guess* that some people jerk off if they have any kind of "power" to bully people around.

That's nice, but off-topic. We're discussing undocumented rules.
People are being banned for being on too fast a connection.
I was banned for having a ratio of 17000. I had uploaded about 40 gig with the intention of downloading when I had some free time. But I was unfairly banned by one of RevTTs random undocumented rules which basically said anyone who hasn't made a comment or downloaded something in X number of days gets banned.
If these rules were documented, I wouldn't have broken them, and neither would others who have posted in this thread.
Remove the wool from your eyes and realise what is happenning here: The site owners are paranoid about copyright holders now that they are reasonably large, and especially after what happened to Oink. They will ban anyone who has anything unusual about there profile in order to reduce their user numbers. One of the reasons the admin gave for banning me was I wasn't "Human enough".
They are also paranoid about cheaters.
There are better sites out there anyway. SCC, BCG, TL and others. I have invites to SCC for anyone who can prove they were banned from revtt for one of the stupid reasons.
The problem with RevTT, and the reason I never ended up downloading anything from them, is that they don't really excel in any particular category. There will usually be another site with a better seeded version of a given torrent.

I have a single revo invite, was planning on holding on to it for something later down the line. If you can convince me to get it to you, I will give it up. Send me some, yes some like 2 or 3, screen shots of your ratios on other trackers, and the invite is all yours.

My account with revolutionTT was disabled around the same time as the original poster.
I was also accused of cheating with my uploads. I was told I was caught uploading at over 2mbps but that is higher than my ISP allows me.
I started some downloads before I went to work and everything was fine but when I got home I had the message 'unauthorized IP address' on my screen. I reset my router and found my account had been disabled
The guys on their IRC were pretty reasonable and gave me quite a few chances to prove my innocence but as I have been using the same settings and hardware for the past year I wasn't able to shed any light on what went wrong.
My ratio was 580g d/l and 680g u/l. My PC was on pretty much 24/7 and I visited the site more than twice a day.
Oh well you cant help bad luck I guess......bit of a shame but, I like their speeds and up until this event I never had any problems.
