This time it may be for good - at least in Canada that is.
It was about a month and a half ago that Demonoid was shut down due to apparent pressure by the Canadian Recording Industry Association(CRIA). The site reappeared a few days later, but was forced to begin blocking Canadian visitors.

The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.

Newsbots can perform searches?

Hmmm... that would be pretty cool- a newsbot that can spam combined with a googlebot that could extract information. That way the spam wouldn't be repetitive or dated, which, I guess, might actually cause it to no longer be spam.

What would you call it, though. A goosbot? A nooglebot?

I've got my fingers crossed that this is all a temporary setback. Demonoid had a great number of loyal fans/members and it will be back.
