Its takin like 20 minutes to dowload one song everytime

I dont have a direct line to the internet , just a 56k modem, but should it still take 20 to 30 minutes to download each song, everytime???????????????:mellow

Ya thats about right for a normal 56k download. My suggestion, if you can, get broadband access if you are going to explore P2P further(IE movies, apps, and such).

with free, you can't exactly have high expectations

i have dsl, and 60% of the time it takes 20-30 minutes to get a song

it has to do with what the other guy is doing too...

For 56k modem that's not bad. When I was modem bound (back in the day ) sometimes to took up an hour for files with higher average bitrate to download.

That's messed up, I have a 56k Modem and It doesn't take anymore than 10-15min. to download a song, what program are you using? I'm on KaZaA Lite and I find it's very easy for dial-up, if you're using something like Gnutella than you're downloading very fast for dial-up since Gnutella isnt very nice on a 56k connection. But for a file download it takes around 3~4min. per megabyte, i can get a 5 MB file in 20 min. on average.

Oh, but that 10~15min song download is for 128 files, for 192 it takes me around 20min. and for 320 files which are like 10MB it usually takes around 40min. Hope that helps!
