I'm trying to figure out what would be the best audio player for my old P3 system.
Even winamp dogs it out. I tried the 10th anniversary edition and it was too much for my old dog.
It doesn't need to be able to rip, convert, or display vid.

I would like it to be able to read and edit tags and create and use playlists.
Album art would be a plus, but not really necessary.

I know theres a ton out there, but I'm looking for the absolute lightest on resources, and then work up a bit to best bang for the buck so to speak.

So basically, at least lighter than winamp 2.1

TIA for your help:icon_thum

I'd download the klite codec pack and use media player classic.

Forgot to say thanks for the Foobar tip, 'till I saw someone else post about it.
Long as I keep it completely basic, it works great on my oldie.:icon_thum

Oldversion.com
Always have older versions of your favorite software. Great for those outdated systems! New versions of software can be bloated and require too much hardware.

NP, carpefile, I love foobar, its functionality is terrific and I prefer it to Winamp 5.5.
