Latest album not a big hit?
Well minutes to midnight had not much success like the other albums they released. The minutes to midnight was leaked very early and the songs were not the quality everyone expected. Well i aint talking more. ur opinions/

I am just not interested in linkin park anymore... I mean, all their songs sound pretty much the same. It's an interesting band, but I think there's better stuff out there.

I totally agree that all the songs sound very very similar. It is hard to tell when the cd starts over!

Hmm... I think when all the band's song sound alike, that's a sign that they should stop making music and make themselves useful in other areas of society.

Loved Hybrid Theory, Meteora was ok but Minutes to Midnight just sucked.

i think it's a GREAT album! 600,000 copies were sold in the first week! that's pretty amazing success if you ask me!

Sales don't mean a whole lot when it comes to quality....look at how fast the latest pop garbage gets sold.

My assessment exactly.
@fonz:
I would liken it to pretty amazing deceit instead. They misled everyone with "What I've Done" as the first single. I think that's the only decent song on the album. I'd rather watch the blood bleed out from my wrist than hear "Bleed It Out" one more time on the radio.

Some say the album isn't good, but I think its one of their best albums. This album has rock, rap, and pop in it, so everyone's music needs is somewhere on this album. Bleed it out, and Given up have to be the best songs on the album. To all the haters, Linkin Park is still one of the greatest new bands!

Yeah, when does "new" end? Hybrid Theory came out 7 years ago.

I didn't like Minutes to Midnight, because it just doesn't sound like Linkin Park. Seems toned down with the majority of songs, and more like pop rock. It almost seems like they are having a identity crisis with Minutes to Midnight. To me it feels like they trying to be more like with what is popular on the radio than what they are known for.
Given Up and No More Sorrow are like the only two tracks on the cd that actually sounds like the kind of music Linkin Park is known for.
In terms to their previous albums there is no way Minutes to Midnight can be called a huge success. I think if most of the people who ran out and got it were expecting more kind of classic Linkin Park kind of music. Even along the lines of What I've Done, not lighter and more pop sounding music. I would love to know how many people who bought it in the first week still listen to it regularly and if they would buy it again after hearing it.

I think I've listened to the complete album once, maybe twice.

I have listened to the album all the way through 2 maybe 3 times, but there are a few songs that have 60-100 listens, where other songs have 2 or 3...
Then you have bands like Protest the Hero where I have listened to every song 100+ times, some of them 200+ times.
