Hi, Folks --

I used to be able to connect with EDonkey without difficulty IF I made sure to update the server list each time using Maurice. Now my server list is absolutely up to the minute but I still cannot connect. It just rolls through all the server names with the constant messages of Connecting / Unable to Connect, etc. without actually ever connecting. This has gone on since Sunday, when I did connect for about an hour.

Thinking there was something wrong with the set-up on my computer, I downloaded EDonkey to my computer at work and the same thing happens. Left them both on all night long and neither was successful.

Before I give this up as a real waste of time, can someone tell me if there something unusual going on?

Thanks.

Hi, again, Folks --

I appreciate your responses and will follow up with both.

The only reason why I pursued EDonkey despite the frustration is that the particular program I'm looking for is apparently available from only ONE user anyplace, and that one user only uses EDonkey.

Have been to all the appropriate-sounding newsgroups including binaries, have posted a bunch of requests in forums that can usually accommodate, did a search of Direct Connect hubs, as well as trying Kazaa and Grokster.

I guess I'm just driven!

Thanks again.
