Should I convert Flac files for play on CD players?

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo, see supported devices (http://flac.sourceforge.net/links.html#hardware)) just like you would an MP3 file.

if your device (stand alone cd-player) doesn't support FLAC, just burn the flac files the same way you burned mp3's to cd. It will convert them to wav so it will be playable anywhere. The advantage to using a FLAC source is that it is an original image of the song, instead of MP3, which is only parts of the original file.
