wmv to mov conversion

Hi all

I have some wmv files that I want to convert to mov. I have downloaded a free program called 'A-Z Free Video Converter' but it creates massive mov files. For example the wmv file is 684kb and when converted it is over 40Mb! I have reduced the frame rate and audio rate down to their minimum settings too.

Any help please ladies and gentleman as these file sizes are ridiculous!
