im wondering if we really can hide ip address when sending email (i.e gmail, hotmail, yahoomail, outlook etc.) or when surfing the internet....

hide-my-ip-address- or this really works? someone tried this one?

or there is better way?

sure, use an anonymous proxy when connecting to these sites, or a web-based proxy like you mentioned. This way the email site see's the proxy as you, instead of your own IP. The proxy IP is what is put on the email.
Note: this only works through webmail, if you use a client (outlook for example), your client must support proxy use.

Yes you can as drtoker stated. However please be aware, I have seen stated in the rules on some torrent sites that they will ban you for connecting through a public proxy.

Yes you can hide your id but you can't be anonymous.

Just don't directly connect to who you are talking to or downloading from.

This is how prog such as ANts p2p and Dargens Anonymous F2F work.

I herd - Foxy Proxy was good ? How do you know what proxy is a good one? and Are Private Tracker sites Torrents untraceable?

So even shepherds want proxies now. I keed I keed.
If you just want access to sites blocked from your school or work then foxy proxy or any of 100 others will work just fine, but anonymity, no.

You can hide your ip, even in p2p, but its not practical, unless you want snail speeds in whatever.
On top of that its real work. You have to find your own proxies for one, and then test them yourself to see if in fact the proxy listed as "high anonymous" or "elite proxy" really is.
Here's a decent tester, it allows you to test multiple proxies.
http://www.spszone.com/anguest/

Drop in a list, after configuring to your liking, and walk away for about 2 hours.

Then after its done, compile a list of goodies, and put into your browser or application in the appropriate area.
Ta Daa! You're now slow but anonymous!
But wait, there's more! Proxies generally don't last long, couple days, maybe a week if you're lucky, so get ready to repeat the above procedure over and over again.

And still, you're only anonymous at the other side of your proxy, your isp knows all and sees all, you can't hide from them (if you did, you'd have no internet connection).

Unless you're trafficking stolen top secret DoD files or something else you could be "disappeared" for doing, its really not worth the effort.

Just as an aside, in Ezzy Elliott's defense, the guy has spent over two years developing his app. It has some drawbacks, but it does work. Problem is he can't get any user participation and everywhere he tries to drum up some interest he gets jumped as a spammer. Basic premise of it is, he took ANts and added tracker capabilities to it to aid in peer detection and allow swarming. Its still slow to connect, cause its core is ANts after all, but given a file with a decent swarm, the download speeds will be more like a good torrent than an ANts transfer.
Shows promise, but needs users. Its hard to make a swarm with 2 :P

So Krall has waited 3 months to bump a thread and make a flame post.

Kroll you sure like bumping, I think you need some real action, physical not cyber.

Or has zeropaid been hacked.

If you're really concerned about masking your IP, then consider Anonymizer (http://www.anonymizer.com/). Its a paid service so your IP is directed through dedicated servers. Inevitably, as a result, your speed will suffer though.
