Okay so I have read some of the threads on burning and playing PS2 games and I think I have a good idea of what I need to do. I have all the programs: Nero, Alcohol and Swap Magic. But I have few areas that I need clarity on.

1. Once I have the downloaded game on my computer and ready to burn I need to burn it as an image CD or DVD right?

2. Why do I need to use the slide tool to switch the Swapmagic boot cd with the game? What will happen if I just open it as usual and swap them?

3. Depending on the size of the file I can burn it on CD or DVD is that correct?

I have answer of your 1 and 3 Question. First of all you are absolutely right about creating an image of the game because it wont copy all DLL and run time files by simply copying. It will be better if you copy it on a cd as it take less time to write. But if the game is really big only than go for the DVD. I am not sure about your second one so it will be better if someone who tried that will tell you about it.:icon_scra

Since 1 and 3 got covered...
I believe that when the PS realizes that the tray is opened, it reverifies the authenticity of the CD/DVD once it's reinserted, so if you trick it into not knowing you opened it, it won't reverify your bootleg game.

That's my understanding at least.
