I've tried adding the ZT blocklist to PeerGuardian and started to get a lot of blocks, which was very suspicious.
I searched a bit and found this on PeerGuardian forums, which made me to remove it:
Hey,
if that is really the or one of the official blocklists The Pirate Bay uses.... well..... then they block a lot of unnecessary stuff, legitimate users etcpp. But everyboidy should know that looking at those entries....
Other than that, we at bluetack looked at most of those entries yesterday. Apart from having Iana Reserved enries in it as ziptorrent, and not having full Safenet entries but only parts (btw, safenet is mediasentry, not mediadefender. md is onwed by Artist Direct, but that just as a side note....), which we have full (heh), there "could" be more in those, esp in the hurricane electric entries, which we have in range testing for quite some time now....
I personally think, that guy took some IPs/IP ranges he got somewhere, and merged em too hard because he is paranoid. With those big entries its impossible to work with em wo any other information other than there may be ziptorrent in em, well, then we could block whole isp's/hosters etcpp...
Get Azureus use it with Stuffer, add that client and you will be much safer than with that list.
smaller, more specific entries would have been more usefull, and effective for the network.
HvT
PS: And peeps always complain, we block too much. LOL
