Do you guys think a case for ur mp4 is essential?i'm a big boy.and own a ipod video myself ,i think a case is a good protection for my ipod against everyday hazards element that may dirt it . And i was able to access all of my ipod 's functions while i using the case with devices. recently i order a kind of Aluminium Case,there were two colors of this style .it looks really good there .i'm sure the guys who chosed "always" will love it

i guess its not "essential" per-say. but if you're anything like me, my ipod is like a family member. a $15 investment to make it appear better is a no decision.
