Am I the only person?

Everytime I go to SCC it brings up the signup form, which makes me think it's open for signups...then when i click the submit/signup button it takes me to the "Sorry, user limit reached. Please try again later." message.

I find it kinda misleading. Get's my hopes up everytime.

Yes, it's incredibly disheartening. Eventually you get quite jaded and expect nothing.

What's even more messed up is when some nitwit comes along, sees the form page, assumes sign-ups are open and then submits something like:

"sceneaccess is open"

to the open sign up thread.

If you do a search, you'll see that this topic has been covered extensively.

Yup sucks.

I asked someone from the irc channel, and they said there is a sign up limit of 5 people from the US each month.

Not sure if it was a joke or real.

It also sucks when Tracker Checker 2 says that sign up is open for SCC and Demonoid when it's not.

Thats not the case, I have created about 40 accounts using that site and I use them to trade for other sites or give them to friends.

You just have to keep looking back, they throw out unused accounts after a week, so some weeks youll see 100 or 200 spots just open up, other weeks just 10-20.

Its probably like that. Some Private trackers even ban the entire US ip range.
