how to get to the oink.cd? impossible...
I'm trying to get the invite for a few months... but still nothing. nobody is willing to give the invite for free... so if you're not BT holic, you're not collecting the invites... and you dont have any invites - then invites/doors to the oink.cd is closed for you?
wow... cant believe its such a big deal to give someone the invite...

It's not impossible to get into Oink, I got 3 invites in the same week, lol. But that site isn't worth the hassle imo, I find demonoid alot better. The only way to keep a good ratio there is to upload albums in FLAC format.

It's such a big deal because noone wants to lose Oink for inviting someone they don't know. You can thank the people like they one above laughing about getting 3 invites in a week which we all know is a nono.

Anyways PM me username(s) on other sites, IP range you use and email and I'll see what I can do.

Any unsolicited PMs I receive will go unanswered.

I heard something somewhere about how Mels enjoys PMing people pictures of his privates. You'll answer that, correct? ;)

Seriously, though- props for doing a nice deed- or, at least giving it your best shot.

I don't dare invite someone I don't know without doing background check first. I would probably had ignored it if it wasn't for him having been member here since 2004 with 1.500 posts and still having trouble getting invited. I know it can be hard to catch that lucky break for many and someone else did it for me once.

As for pics of Mels privates.. he can keep them. The only privates I can't get enough of are my girlfriends and off course my own.

I thought the same thing. That is why I PM'ed him for more info. He was honest enough to tell me that he had been previously banned from Oink for not maintaining a ratio. So if he was banned, would that not mean his IP was banned too? I want to invite him for being honest, as he said he understood the ratio importance much better now, but if his IP has been banned, I don't want to get in trouble for inviting him. What is your take on it, Xtripit?

Most IP's change after time. I'm on cable, and my IP changes every month or so. If he doesn't know what it was, it will be more difficult to tell if it has changed since though. Best bet is to have him call the ISP and tell them that his IP is ban'd on some networks ever since he got it, and he would like a new IP so that he can go about his work, or some excuse along those lines, and they will dish him a new IP.

The best way is to join a level 2 or 3 tracker. Upload ~10-20 GB, wait 4 weeks, then PM someone for an invite. Honestly guys its not that hard.

Actually, if you just keep asking around, all you will end up doing is pissing people off, which, will, in turn, pretty much guarantee that you'll never get what you're looking for.

If, on the other hand, you finds ways to contribute/ways to prove that your trustworthy and reliable, that's when good things tend to come to you.

Oink is pretty liberal with their invites and there are a LOT of Oink members. It's not like there's a huge shortage of invites. I'd wager to say that there's a good number of people that have invites but aren't able to find someone worth giving them to. Someone completely oblivious of forum policy who barges in like a bull in china shop begging for invites- that's not someone worth giving an invite to. This thread isn't begging, necessarily, but the vast majority are. What these noobs don't understand, though, is that asking for invites is completely counterproductive.

It's a little like seducing a woman. Yes, you want to have sex, but if you walk up to her and ask for sex, what do you think your chances will be?

well it doesnt matter for how long you're here on ZP... or how many posts you have done.
the golden rule is: almost no one is looking forward to give the invite for free...

That is not true. I have not traded or sold one invite since the get go, and don't plan on it. I have 10 invites for oink that I never use. I will ONLY invite trusted members of a p2p community or friend. I replied to your PM. Check your mailbox.

To anyone else that wants an invite from me: I will only invite members that have been here for a long time and contribute to the ZP community, period!

el oh el

These new kids that sign up just so they can try to get a FTN invite for a TL invite might act that way, but if someone I knew from back in the day asked me for an invite, I would help them out without expecting something in return.

I highly doubt you have an invite to TL, as they are currently closed.

I got an invite to OiNK in one day. But, having said that, I was a member at OiNK for 6 months prior (original account was pruned) and I obtained the OiNK invite via another private tracker I have been a member of for some time.

Even though I am happy with the new OiNK account, I find myself again asking the same question I asked myself when I first had an OiNK account... what's the big deal about this place?! I dunno... Everyone at OiNK for the most part, is SCARED to download ANYTHING new. Although I think the ratio thing is great, it has really stopped people from even using the site anymore. Hell, the first 5 PAGES of new releases on OiNK have a range of 0-1 seeders and 0-1 leechers. FTW?

Oh, and even though TL invites are closed for the time being, if you had them, you still retain them. I have TL invites as well, and whenever they open inviting back up, they will be usable.

Anyway, rock on.

im extreeeeeemly careful who i invite to oink. in fact, ive only invited one person so far because i know him and feel pretty sure he's trustworthy and wont cheat or be an idiot and piss the mods off.

im the same with bitmetv.

You are correct. I still have my invites too, but they are useless until they open it up again. So anyone wanting to trade a TL invite probably has a bridge or two for sale also. That was my only point.

I totally agree. I'm very leary of inviting random people I know. And if the person is random, I demand proof of ratio and seeding ability before sending the invite.

It took me about a month to get an OiNK invite. You should try asking in some less obvious places. I eventually got invited after posting on a last.fm group moaning about how hard it is to get an OiNK invite (someone saw my post the next day and offered me an invite, no strings attached :) )..... plus a couple of weeks later someone else saw the same post and offered me another invite, not that I needed it, but the offer was nice.

Try not to spam though no one is going to invite a spammer.
