Any way to avoid Fat32 limitation?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and I kind of have a problem. I have a PS3 and I've been downloading HD movie torrents to play on my PS3. The only problem is that PS3's can only recognize a fat32 formatted external harddrive. With this, many HD movies are well over 4 gigs and therefore, I cannot download them into my harddrive (when I try, it says "Error: not enough space..." etc). I was wondering if there was anyway to bypass or "cheat" through this limitation without reformatting my harddrive. Thanks guys!

Thanks for the quick reply. So I guess I have no choice but to download the torrent to some other hard drive that is not fat32, split it, and then move it into my external then. Oh well, better than nothing I suppose. Also, does that video splitter work for mp4 too or not? Thanks

split it using winrar.
