That's never been proven.

They are affiliated with the MPAA, though- that's a good reason not to use them.

I still use 1.6.1 but am looking for a better alternative. Unless you're into bloatware like Azureus, there's nothing to replace utorrent.

Would you have any idea where i could still get 1.6.1 and which build version i would have to use as i understand the (ma people came in after 1.6? is this true the utorrent site only contains 1.72

Utorrent is good and more light than azureus

Depends.. on which AZ. 2.5.0.4 is ok. V3 Zudeo is just ridiculous.

Stick with uTorrent. Most private trackers won't allow you to use any other version of uTorrent but 1.6.1 and 1.7.2.

Play it safe and use 1.6.1. IMO Azereus is a resource hog.
