Copy A Crack File? Please Help

Just bought loads of PC games from the pirate capital of the world BANGKOK.

I was told that after I had installed them I was to 'copy the crack file'!!!???

Please tell me how to do this, in a idiots guide type of way. I will be eternally grateful

Usually they have the cracked files in a directory named crack, etc. or there would be a text file like NFO file that you can open using text editor like Notepad to read instructions needed! If there are no such directory or text instructions file most likely you just wasted your money.

Adding to what DigitalJunkie has mentioned, if you do have the .nfo file, the instructions should tell you something to the effect of;
Click -->"Browse"--> go to the folder named--> "Crack".
Inside that folder, you will find an--> ".exe" file (the executable of the game)-->"Copy" this file to --> the folder in your HDD, where you have installed the game.

just replace the original *.exe by the cracked.exe

Exactly. Sometimes it'll be called patch.exe. Best to rename your original exe too in case something goes wrong.

On pirate discs, there is a directory called crack, or the name of the group which cracked the game like: HATRED, RELOADED, FAIRLIGHT, DEVIANCE, HOODLUM, RAZOR1911. After you found the right dir, you can follow HelenaP directions, otherwise you can download the crack from the site above

Remember to change the original exe file and don't copy overwrite it because maybe you need to install patch without any problem.
