I'm the owner of leecherslair, it's good to see some nice comments about our community. It seems theres a few trying to get in but keep missing the open signups, so I've opened up the site for a further 100 members. Please make sure once you login to read the site rules as we have a fairly complex system. The site is currently freeleech as well so it's a good opportunity for new members to get their ratio's in good order. :)

tried to recover my password, and when i try to confirm the request. the link does not work, error 404

Most likely causes:

There might be a typing error in the address.
If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

Yes, I had the same problem.
I fixed it by signing up to the Leecherslair forum. Go to a topic called "Request Password Reset". Follow the instructions and you'll get a PM with a new password.

The best thing in LeechersLair is its Forum where a lot of Community discussion on all sorts of topics takes place.

Its torrents are at present limited because it has only recently come on the scene. It also does not have many Leechers for improving one's ratio. However as time passes all this shall get sorted out and it is likely to become one of the best private trackers.

So join now while the going is good.

Dear users,

I have come here to inform you about the truth behind Leecherslair.com
now, even though the site is indeed great, there are a few problems with it, in this post, I will try to explain it as good as I can.
The admins of this site ( how crude it may sound ) have tasted power and are now abusing it.
in the past few months, they have banned a number of valuable members, including staff members.

why? simple. some of them where banned for joining a different clan in a text-based online game called 'ogame'. The admin of this very site then continued to ban other members for voicing their opinion on this strange move. Others where banned for simply idling in another IRC channel. One of the staff members even got banned for helping out a newbie.

Now, this may sound unbelievable to you, which I can imagine, as the LL staff does everything to make sure no-one finds out, including the deleting of posts on ThePeerGroup.

Another kind of strange thing they do, is forcing simple staff members to post LL torrents on public sites, so they will get more members. Technically this is not forbidden, but they way they have this organized ( one dumpsite per staff member ) is a bit out of line, in my opinion.

They also are harrassing ex-members, by calling them 'bunny fuckers', 'faggots' and 'twats', among other things. The fact that some of these insults where aimed at a minor does not matter to them.

There are many other great sites out there, whose staff is always nice and helpfull.

If needed, I am availible for contact, and questions may also be posted on the forum ( see my site ).

I am not trying to destroy the site, this is simply to make you aware that they are not as sweet as they may sound.

maybe you want to try scaliwags and Legendary-torrents and total-torrents as well. at least their staff is friendly and doesn't think it's a shame if you don't donate. because recently, it seems that Leecherslair expects their members to pay for the full server/bandwith costs....

Seems so.
Usually, when a member becomes disrespectful towards a member or staff, said member becomes banned member.
They get pissed and do the crappiest thing they can think of.

i guess everyone's got their own opinion, and they had theirs. but from my experience most forums are not n00b friendly...almost every other forum i've been on has a bunch of no-life a$$holes trying to exercise their power(!?) for some of the flimsiest pretexts. i can't say i've been at the brunt of it so far, but i've seen many perish in that sense.

Still, it looks a pretty good tracker, perennially open for signups, decent content, and a seed bonus...i guess if you seed properly, there's no need to ever get into the forums (personally, ZP's the only place i find worth posting anyway). pretty much like hundreds of other trackers out there.

On another note we should be moving to a new server within the next week, once we move we may even open signups for a short period to let friends of current members register an account with us.

They are currently in the process of changing servers so there may be signups coming shortly within the next day or so.

On a side note, I have been on LL for about a year and a half and it is by far the best private tracker I am a member of.
