Biggest Private Tracker

Which private trackers are the biggest/have the most members/active torrents?

I'm getting a little frustrated jumping through hoops to get invites/sign up only to find a tracker has a minimal number of members and very few torrents.

I guess that DLing from smaller trackers is probably safer from a perspective of prying eyes, and small trackers, will, in time, probably become big ones, but... right now I'm looking for big.

Demonoid is huge, as is Oink, correct? What other private trackers are big?

torrentleech is big and great. bitmetv is pretty big, well big enough since there are a lot of seeders with a really fast internet speed.

i would say demoniod is probably the largest. The problem with size is that a lot of times size equals bad seeders or the such.

Really, size equals bad seeders? Maybe porn is a different ball game (no pun intended :icon_pira ) but Puretna has 1.5 million members and I've downloaded (and uploaded) a terabyte without a single bad seed.

And these are just two that I happen to be aware of. I have no doubt that oink, bitme, filelist and torrentleech have way more than these.

Hey, how about IPTorrents? Luckily I was able to register to their site, and to my suprise I found a site that is at least as good as Bitsoup. Over 5000 torrents right now. Not bad, I also use Funfile alot too.

You are correct. Everyone here refers to Demonoid as if it was private but in fact it is only semi-private with random days to sign up.

robincheema your getting Oink, don't worry. And if you love music, it is ABSOLUTELY awesome. I'd also like to add after I've gotten to know the site, Bit-HDTV (signups just closed though, sorry). Only 20 to 30,000 users, but almost 6000 torrents.

And I just got into Torrent-damage, 8000 to 9000 torrents. Definitely above Bitsoup, but on the other hand Bitsoup is SOOOO easy to get into.

i heard good things about filelist.org and it took me yonks before i managed to sign up.

when i did i was wholly disappointed.

the site, currently, has less than 1,000 torrents...

why is filelist regarded so highly by some people when it has such a small content?

Now people should realize that the larger torrent count just means they don't remove torrents that are old, release sites like filelist, scc and others as sites that drop stuff quickly and people grab it, seed for a day or two, then the torrent drops off the face of the earth because everyone already has it. Demonoid is a good everything site as it is not really a release site but more of a "we have plenty of junk site"

I've been to Demonoid and in my opinion there is way too much stuff there. On the other hand, I like fresh stuff and I find that the trackers with fewer (i.e. newer files) are best. Its just a matter of taste whether you like the archival sites or the sites full of 0-day material. Once you find a good site of each, you're golden :)

Very true. Small "private" sites are ubiquitous and usually mirror the content of larger sites. I can usually find what I need on smaller sites. I stick to sites in countires other than the one I am in. If I need/want speed, I may go to one of the bigger private sites. Otherwise I stay away and I never download music from these big sites.
