Dear friends,

Earlier I used to use the kazaa 1.7.2 & Kazaa lite v1.7.2 without
any problems.

Just a week ago i the kazaa 1.7.2 & Kazaa lite v1.7.2 thru the
add/remove programs and then downloaded the Kazaa v2 and it installs sucessfully. But when i start the program I get the following msg

"You have uninstalled a part of Kazaa Media Desktop that is needed to run. Kazaa Media Desktop will now quit so you can re-install it.
Error: 1030"

It was also mentioned at the KazaaLite website that the above given error is taken care of in the Kazaa v2.0.2. But after installing it I get the same error. Please suggest me some solution and if possible please clarify the meaning or Error Code 1030.

Please help me as how do i resolve the problem and use the Kazaa v2.0.2 After getting the message I reinstalled the entire kazaa v2.0.2 but still the same. Later I downloaded and installed KazaaLite v2.0.2 but still I get the same message.

I tried the Following steps
1. Installing / Uninstalling complete Kazaa Lite v2 Several Times.
2. Using Ad-aware to remove all the crap and re-copy the dummy cd_lint.dll, also tried copying the original CD_Lint.dll
3. Using regedit to clean the registry of kazaa / Brilliant 3D Entries
4. Completely removing all the p2p apps and freshly loading only Kazaa v2

For your information I am using WinXP with SP1

After all the possible combinations and diagnosis I think there is
some problem with the MPR.DLL or NTDLL.DLL file

I tried almost everything that I could think of or found on the web
but Kazaa simply refuses to start.

I have lost all the hopes. But still request people to give in their
suggestions

If you are running any version of AdAware except5.83 than that might be your problem. I had the same problem untill I DL the new version. My suigestion is to remove any thing to do with KaZaa 2.0.2! Make sure that you have cleaned everthing out. Then DL a copy of KaZaA Lite 2 Build 2!!! It is killer !! Has everthing you want, and works great.

go to : http://www.geocities.com/little_kingston77/
and download the cd_clint.dll and unzip it to your kazaa dir and you will be fine

I dissagree Korn, the dll that comes with k-lite should be fine, adding another dll could possibly screw things up

i would just try what sidne bear said, get 2.00 build 2, it allows you to use part hacks and has a bunch of other cool crap bundled in

when you uninstall kazaa (followed by deleting all references to kazaa), restart, then install, then restart, and try it, sometimes things can be cleared up a bit on startup

if none of that works, then you might have to reinstall windows, but that would be a last resort!

Say Masked Editor,
What ever happened? Was your problem resolved? Inquiring minds want to know! Had one more thought. Working on the bench I locate the source of a problem by "Process of Elimination" If you are still having problems, try this. Remove everthing regarding KaZaA-- restart,--DL KaZaA,--do not open KaZaA. Stop AdAware from any actions / filtering (disable). Now without AdAware runing try to open KaZaA. If it works, then you know for sure whare the problem is! Did you DL the AdAware v5.83? Remember any earlier version conflicts with what you are trying to do. Let the forum know if everything is OK now. It sure makes us feel all Fuzzy and Warm when a problem gets solved!! LOL
