I talked to the sysop and they were hacked by someone. They are fixing it.

Difference is there was no trading allowed at TI

That is the way it SHOULD BE on Bit Torrent.....after all, it IS a "file sharing" network..all some of these private BT idiots want to do, is play God with their stupid invites.

But I guess they had no place at tracker invites. Which is GOOD!

TI is now back...actualy was back just 24 ours after the hack...just that normal users for the moment..some of them..cant see the board cuz they dont have permissions..this will be regulated very soon...come back to TI...the board now is much more stronger with the new host..great speed and the mods/admins are just great..great job...cheers

Tracker Invites version 2 is now up, and better then ever.

A lot of changes had been made, such as a change of staff, a better points system, and the introduction of the 'Invitation' system to help keep out any cheaters.

I will be more then happy to invite a total of 4 people.

Simply PM me with your email address, and inform me of what Trackers you are currently a member of. Please provide screenshots of your ratios, and a screenshot of a speed test.

The 4 of you with acceptable information will receive the invite.

Nah, just making it slightly more secure so multiple cheating users have a less likely chance of getting in.

The amount of invites being given out as of right now is phenomenal. All old users are being invited also, so getting in wouldn't be much of a trouble.

Cheat, and it wont be hard to keep you out either.

CHEAT on WHAT? I don't understand what you are talking about when you say cheaters.
Do you mean people that trade invites and don't keep their end of the bargain?

As far as I know, this site was set up to DIRECT people to private BT sites that have invites.

The thing that bothers me about Bit Torrent is that a lot of bit torrent sites are getting more and more like a stupid private club! It used to not be like that.

Regardless, I would never beg just to get into ANY site, it is not worth it if it has come to that.

Well said . Almoust 99% of the things u find in the private trackers that is almost imposiblle to get in u find them as well on public tracker`s , and is verry possible that the rest of 1% doesn`t really interest`s you.

What really bothers me about bit torrent private sites in general is that they are becomming more and more exclusive. Leaving a lot of people out in the cold...so to speak.

As you said though 99% of the stuff the private trackers have the public one's also carry. But I just use newsgroups for the majority of my files....no begging to get into anything.

I have a few BT private sites, but I rarely ever actually use them because I can get most of my stuff on newsgroups without the hassle of bit torrent ratios and such.

I sure hope they are serious this time. I used to mod there a bit, and it was turning into a trading forum fast.

I used to get PMs saying, how much is e.g. 200GB filebytes worth etc.

If you want a real non-trading forum, those PMs need to disappear.

see the only reason i really like private sites is because of the great seeder to leecher ratio... they are also a lot better at deleting fakes.

Not all newsgroups have tens of thousands of members just as not all torrent sites are small.

It all depends on what you are looking for.
