See, I had my heart set on having the coin noise from Super Mario Bros. as my alert for text messages...

So I found this sweet freakin' swf file: http://www.4colorrebellion.com/archives/2006/01/28/super-mario-bros-super-synth/

Then I found a swf extractor to get the various music from it...

And the files work on my PC just fine, and transfer to my phone just fine.... but they DO NOT WORK! I have a Motorola V3.

The format of the file is .mp3, and I currently have other .mp3 files as ringtones and such on my phone. I've used the same transfer process (using Motorola Phone Tools --> Melody Studio --> then select the file, then Transfer to Phone).

If anyone can help me figure out why, or what I have to do in order to make them work, please let me know. I don't know that I'll be around much for the next few days, but I'll check in when I can.

can you attach the mp3 file here? I have the motorola razr V3c and motorola phone tools also. I can test if it works on my phone this way we can narrow down where the problem lies.

Here they are, let me know what you get... 6 and 10 are short, 18 and 19 are longer.

ok. I tried putting #19 on my phone and it doesn't have any sound when I try to play it from my phone. I tried comparing the file properties to other songs/ringtones I've transferred and all I can see is maybe the bitrate and sample rate are too low for the phone?

Example:
#19 = 16kbps & sample rate = 11kHz

other ringtones I have: 48kbps & 22kHz / 64kbps & 22kHz

Here's a mario ringtone that I believe works fine.
