Unlike MLB doesn't care if users "placeshift" live or recorded games, even allowing users to share clips with family, friends, and "others."
<p>MLB has been angered by Slingbox's ability to allow consumers to circumvent geographical boundaries, or "placeshift," which they argue undermines deals made with broadcasters on a regional basis. </p>
<p>MLB argues that users are illegally redistributing content without their permission, despite the fact that they are already paying for it at the initial location from which the games are being shifted from.</p>
