Some one please help me...so heres the little story...
I had got an invite to TorrentLeech from a member on their IRC the other day, and just a while ago my brother kept bugging me about giving him my password...but i knew he wouldnt upload and just keep downloading all this shit...so i kept saying no...then he got pissed and went off for a bit and came back and told me to log off Torrent Leech and try logging back on...when i clicked log off...it says my IP is banned...wtf...now i cant log on...helll i cant even go to the site...wat the hell did my brother do.....some one please help and if ur from Torrent Leech can u please ask someone on the IRC to check what happened..by the way my TL username is lost123

he probably just went onto their irc and shot his mouth off to get the IP ban'd from there, and probably therefor the site. They probably either didn't notice that ip had an account, or didn't care since your not actually ban'd, just your ip. Try resetting your modem sometimes you can get a new IP

If you have static IP, then try going to a friends house and join their IRC from his IP. Then ask if you can PM a mod there. and if someone says OK, then explain the situation to them and ask if there is any way that they can unban your IP.

If they do, I would recommend not telling your brother about it :P

IMO no one should ever pay to share files especially using bittorrent. Well I guess people pay to leech, not share. It makes zero sense. I can only hope one day P2P returns to its roots and people openly share large amounts of data because they want other people to be able to enjoy the same things they like too.

DoGGy313, from reading the TL forum, it looks like a power failure a few days ago (around the 14th) caused your account to be deleted. You should be able to sort this out on the IRC channel.


If you'd rather connect with your own IRC client, head to #torrentleech at irc.torrentleech.org:7011 or :+7021(ssl).

Type "/join #torrentleech" to join the TL channel. You need to register your site name to access the help bot in the channel. Upon entering the network type "/msg NickServ REGISTER YourPassword YourEmailAddress", followed by enter, to register your name with the channel. Type "!help" to access the automated TL help service. Upon returning to the channel, again, type "/msg NickServ IDENTIFY YourPassword" to identify yourself to the channel.

We (TL) were forced to ban a few thousands of accounts that were completely inactive for weeks, due to the fact, that there are cases of people selling their accounts.

I hope this answers all questions as to why you can't logon.

You can always try the IRC channel to get back in. I hope that people will stop crying about it and begging ppl to help them to "please help me get my account back".

i got an invite to tl after a long search.. i just recently joined, so i was still learning everything.. actually pretty new to the whole torrent thing.. i must have done something wrong, because when i try to log in it gives me that 403 forbidden "ip banned".. i thought i was doing everything right.. every time i downloaded something.. i would leave it on to seed for days.. just to try and build my ratio.. is there a way to find out what i did wrong and to get un-banned? i really really like this site! i had actually kicked around the idea of donating before this.. really glad i didn`t now! not sure that i could now or not.. give`em my money for what to get banned without any warnings or anything? i would appreciate any help anyone can give me.. i would like to keep my membership there! They have an IRC channel where you could plead your case. I do not know the address and I'm not even sure if you can get in their IRC after being banned. I highly doubt you read their rules, and it would seem your lack of experience has resulted in your getting banned. They don't issue warnings for the obvious rules that are broken. It most likely was ratio and/or seeding related.

BTW, I gave my nephew an invite to TL and the same thing happened to him. I warned him about reading the rules and maintaining a healthy ratio, but he too got banned. Too bad, so sad!

Many torrent sites expect people to make them their number 1 resource for everything and if you do not contribute enough with the bandwidth then can, and do, kick you out. In a way, it's good to kick out those who do not do much but a line needs to be drawn because there is life outside of torrents. What.cd did this with me, instead of pruning my account due to inactivity, they banned me. At the time, there wasn't much available but, as usual, I don't stick around and they improve when I'm gone. I did regret being banned a while ago but I've found plenty of material using DC++. I have other trackers for everything other than music.

heh, my TL account got pruned for inactivity a long time back. to my complete astonishment, the world didn't come to an end. since then, most of my other "l33t" accounts have suffered a similiar fate, the last being RevTT, which is the only one i might regret losing. i can actually go to their irc and ask, they reinstated the account the last time since i keep moderately good ratios, but really all my needs are fulfilled by public trackers.

private trackers are over-rated imo.
