I'm running into a problem and would be thankful for any help anyone can give. I'm currently running a home network that has a cable modem connected into a DLink 2.4GHz wireless router. I have two computers connected via wireless and one plugged directly into the router. Whenever I open utorrent or azureus to download on the one wireless PC it basically kills the internet connection for anything else. The program running downloads fine but none of the computers (including the one running the program) can open web pages, connect to chats, etc. I have both programs set for only a 150 KB/s maximum download rate and I've tried lowering it but it doesn't help. It's just annoying because I know the programs aren't using all of the available bandwidth but it seems like they are. I've looked through the settings on the router but can't find anyway to limit certain programs/ports. Hopefully this is something easy. I like being able to download overnight while I'm sleeping but then no one else in the house can use the internet at night.
Again I'd be thankful of any help or suggestions.
