Another useful site, however it's just Ubuntu but Linux in general.

I recently switched to Linux. It wasn't what I expected, meaning I had no problems at all. I'm using openSUSE.

Don't be scared to try Linux. If you were thinking about doing it, then do it. If you can read, and understand what you read, then you can overcome any small obstacle you may come across. The people at the forums, not just openSUSE but in all Linux distros, will help you with anything you get stuck on.
Linux has a Windows system.
You don't have to fear a command-prompt-only system.

There are allot of new features with Ubuntu that make switching and using Linux much much easier. the installation is easier than Windows and there is now support for most devices natively. I encourage anyone who is considering Linux to head over to the ubuntu website and pickup a Cd (They will ship it to you FREE) and popo it in. It's a live CD so you can test the OS without even installing it.

As soon as i get a larger hard drive I am going to do a dual boot of xp and pclinuxos. Same quality as unbuntu but not quite the fanfare that unbuntu has gotten.
