i just want to know what you guys think about annonymous posting at zeropaid. i think its a good thing, and a bad thing, i mean it does not take that much to register a name, but then some people are just lazy. im not dissin the guys who came up with anonymous posting, just that maybe withought it, there would be less spam, and less first post bs, but then again there are some registered people who do that too, :fire so what do you think about anonymous posting?

The anonymous posting was my original way of contribution to ZP while I was exploring the site. Of course, I'd like Mr. Anti-Pharmaceuticals to be banned (and perhaps bashed with blunt objects) as much as anyone. All we really need is someone with power to observe the comments and DELETE the spamming!

All we really need is someone with power to observe the comments and DELETE the spamming! And also the posts from people with their "first post woohooo" and "I'm an idiot - see me type".

In my own thread on the same subject there was someone who mentioned that a lot of people come here just for the news and like to contribute as well. I acknowledge that, in theory it's a good idea (without having to register). But in reality the majority of good responses to new articles are from members, the majority of anonymous posters post crap. Look for yourself.

On the other hand there's the freedom of speech... I am not sure what the best solution is :-(

A bad, bad idea.

anonymity would ruin any sense of community and nieghborliness. Instead of arguing like kids in the backseat of the car it would turn into something more like the crips and bloods...

At least we know each other by "name" -- take away the ability to post anonymously and, I've seen this before, registered members suddenly develop the need to have additional accounts so they can post their unpopular/banal s**t. Yet strangely, give them the option for anonymity and they'll often post in their own name. I like knowing that when, just for example, StealthStrike makes a comment, he's not also CCS or Krell or anyone else on here. And I get the sense that, as it stands, that is not the case. ie: one person one name. More rules usually = more problems.

and now I insert the bouncing frog :fire

I dont think we should have anonymous posting, just look at all the crap on the news section, i dont even bother to read most of it because its just nonsense

If somebody really has something important enough to say about the article, then take a few min to register

If you dont want to register, then dont post, we dont exactly have a shortage of members posting here....

One alternative....(it would be a lot of work)....would be to have 2 registering options
one would be limited so that you could ONLY post on news
and the other would be the full ZP membership

if this could be done, people could save time (assuming they dont post on the forums) by filling out less info, that would cut back spam and still keep quite a few users posting on news, it would be easy to use, just hard to impliment im sure...
