I watched "Venus" last night. I thought it was a another great British film. Great acting and story. Peter O'Toole falls in love with 20 year old. He is one of the best British actors ever.

A stupid movie called Black Sheep. Its not due out for a few months, but its so stupid. A sheep gets bit by a defected little sheep.. They go attacking people, if they bite humans without killing them, they later turn into big sheep. Its from New Zealand. Crazy.

quite timely... its a movie about secret societies and elitism. I'm just new to the private tracker scene... these are all basic online secret societies which everyone is trying to get membership at... at the top is FTN and so the ladder declines... The movie was great, if you get a chance. Like all the strict trackers... you live and die by the rules!

I recently re-watched "Freeway" With Reese Withersppon (man sho was soooooo Hot in this movie)

Little Red Riding Hood for the 1990's: After her mom and step-dad are arrested, 15-year-old Vanessa Lutz decides that instead of once again being put into a foster home, she'd rather go and search for the grandmother she's never met, and live with her. "On the way to grandma's house," (actually a trailer park) Vanessa's car breaks down, and she's picked up from the side of the road by Bob Wolverton, a counselor at a school for troubled boys. Bob slowly earns Vanessa's trust, and eventually convinces her to talk about her sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather. When Vanessa realizes that Bob is enjoying what she's saying, she realizes that he's "The I-5 Killer," from the news. She tries to get out of his truck, but the inside door handle has been removed.....

I had no idea Reese could be sooooooo sexy or sooooooooo tough! She totally rocks in this movie. If you have never seen it, shame on you!

Actually, no I haven't (just read imdb)! Looks like a must-see!
I did however, see The Notebook and Stay.

Yes, he was good in the Notebook (as was everyone else) but he was the only real standout in stay- and not onscreen that much.

Now that I think about it, if you really like him, you might get a little something out of half nelson. His performance is great, it's just the plot is pretty lackluster- it's one of those cliched teacher in the ghetto movies that's been done a hundred times before. Speaking of teacher in the ghetto films, NO one's done it better than Olmos did in Stand and Deliver. Órale!!

edit: crap, i said 'stay' but meant 'half nelson'!

Anyone know if Death Proof is worth watching?

Yes, it is. I'm not saying it's the best movie this year (some people are saying that) but I am saying it's worth watching. If I took all of Tarantino's films and ranked them according to how much I enjoyed them, this would definitely fall close to the bottom. That being said, it's still Tarantino, which puts it a cut above most else.

It's almost like he paid so much homage to old b movies that he actually made an old b movie himself. Still, the ladies all have a star quality and Kurt Russell pulls off a strong performance.

Harsh Times, was over all a good movie. Especially if you like Christian Bale playing a psycho. The plot was a little aimless though.

LOL! Haven't seen it, but loved him in American Psycho.
He plays the most wonderful loon!!

Just watched the original Star Wars trilogy this week, one a night, and I'd never watched them all at once like that, so it was cool.

I have many movies in queue for movie nights, and this list is bigger than my just watched list. There's 'A Dog's Breakfast', Fur: An Imaginary Portrait Of Diane Arbus, Teen Wolf, Anatomy Of A Murder, Short Bus, Original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Doors with Val Kilmer, The Rescuers, maybe even some Dr. Dolittle with Eddie Murphy, and various TV shows and documentaries.

Decent film, got a few laughs out of me. Better than East Is East anyway.

Last "movie" i saw was Tetris: From Russian with Love (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0409371/). It is a BBC documentary about Tetris (duh). It used to be avalable on Google Video, but appears to have been removed.

The other movie I watched (again...) recently is my favorite movie, The Hunt for Red October (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099810/).

Since my boyfriend and I can't agree on movies, we rented two absolutely awful ones last weekend.

- Severance (http://imdb.com/title/tt0464196/)
- Serum (http://imdb.com/title/tt0872335/)

Can you guess which area of the video rental place we were standing in when we gave up arguing about movies? Maybe... the S section? Yea.

Both were horrible. Serum looked like it had a budget of about $10. Severance was at least laughable.

Planet Terror, definitely for zombie fans who like buckets of gore. It was much better than Death Proof.

I still don't know how that chick fired the gun sticking out of her leg. But in a movie like this one, it doesn't really matter.

Dog day afternoon.

I liked Al Pacinos performance.

Beautiful movie without any music. Gives the movie a good realistic sense to it. :)
