I went to see Zack and Miri again this weekend! I don't know why the box office is down (all over) but this film is great! Maybe it will be like the 40 Year Old Virgin and start out slow and pick up later. That fuckin High School Musical is the only film making bank.

Its all a bunch of hype. There is nothing that outrageous about the film, at least not in the R version. There are two surprises in the film that are funny but not as shocking as say...a kid fucking an American Apple Pie. Really tame if you ask me. Maybe talking about sex in considered racy to some prudes.

This is not a movie but I am sure they will make one out of it one day:
Rawhide - Staring Clint Eastwood. I had not seen this series since I was a kid and it was the only western I liked as a youth. Now that I am older I still see why, its freakin fantastically kick ass! Every episode is like a good movie. I highly recommend you give it a download.

Just finished Strange Wilderness. I thought it ROCKED! I have avoided it because of its 1 star rating but then I noticed Grandmas Boy is rated the same and I love that movie. Strange Wilderness has a great cast and some very funny moments. I highly (pun) recommend and if youre a stoner this is your Citizen Cain. If you use to be a stoner then you well get it too.
My favorite gag is pretty simple but funny. It just involves garbage falling out of a Jeep but its still funny as shit on fire. Get this one if you like stupid comedy (that is a good recommendation in my book)

I thought you were old school? I guess it never got much play over the years. I havent seen it in syndication since the 80's. Some of the rips are kinda old and look bad in hi def but on my big screen ctr they look okay. The later episodes seem to be from a better source. I notice there is a DVD set out of Rawhide but so far none of the eps Ive watched are from DVD and are screen caps. I believe the early shows are VHS caps.

Have you guys ever watched the CUBE movies? Did you know that Cube is a remake of a Jim Henson film (the Muppets). You can watch it online HERE (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6203080879952576646) and its pretty cool and trippy.
This philosophical teleplay covers many themes such as, the nature of reality, individual versus scientific perception, self-reference, man's relation to others and society, insanity, social projections, and race relations. It originally aired on NBC's weekly anthology television show NBC Experiment in Television February 23, 1969. The production was produced and directed by Jim Henson, and was one of several experiments with the live-action film medium which he conducted in the 1960s, before focusing entirely on the Muppets and other puppet works. The screenplay was co-written by long-time Muppet writer Jerry Juhl (who also appears in a cameo). If you are interested, here is a yahoo group devoted to this film: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JImHensonTheCube/«

Patterns - 1956. Rod Serling. Pretty fucking cool. This how Rod invented the Twilight Zone. I never even knew this movie existed!
In 1955, Kraft Television Theatre presented another of Serling's scripts, the seventy-second to reach the air. To Serling, it was just another script, and he missed the first live airing. The name of the show was Patterns and it changed Rod Serling's life. Patterns dramatized the power struggle between a corporate boss, an old hand running out of ideas and energy, and a bright young executive being groomed to take his place. It was a huge hit, and was re-aired the following week, which was nearly unprecedented at the time. The script established Serling as a rarity: a television playwright.

Because the dumb fucks in Hollywood all want an Oscar for the studio to show what a good job they have done running the business. They want to keep the movies fresh in the minds of the voters so they hold all the good shit till December. In my opinion this is the worst way to run a business I can imagine. Most people can not go out and see every one of these films so the studio loses TONS of money. They could make so much more money by spreading good movies out all year long. How can they complain about sagging ticket sales when they run their business like a 5 year old tard?

Also that these movies cant compete anytime in the summer.. Big hollywood blockbuster movies come out weekly and would not make it past week 2 without being thrown out of the theater. Then in the Fall they have CGI and disney movies come out... Movies that are magical and christmas movies to pack the audience.. There is only 4 months they can show it, December-March.. Then after that blockbuster hits keep coming out.. Action pack movies.
They rather go for the oscar.. They kept a movie under budget, payed a low price for the actors to do a worth performance and want another job in a few months. If you get critical acclaim like an OScar, then it wont be hard to find employment. Plus any movies slated for the earlier dates go up against next year oscar worthy buzz..
We finally got around to watching Transporter 3.. TERRIBLE movie and PLOT. Action scenes were great but the story MADE no sense. . They had him drive his car around with a girl in it as she is the package.. Then later go to him to retrieve her.. Its like, why couldnt you keep her for the duration?? It made NO Sense what so ever.
Then we watched Frost/Nixon, pretty powerful and grim. I liked it. Maybe tonight we can watch Appaloosa or The Wrestler.

Be Kind Rewind is the biggest hunk of shit Ive seen in many years. Its like King Kong took a huge shit,
stuffed into a DVD package and made me watch it. Im trying to say it sucked monkey dick!
I even like bad movies, they make me laugh but this movie was just stupid...and Ive been a Jack Black fan since 1999!

Recently I've seen The Wrestler, Gran Torino, Appaloosa, and even a Bollywood movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182937/
I honestly can't complain about the quality. :icon_thum

Thats a pretty accurate description of what it was like watching it. My daughter is on the cusp of teendom and madly in love with the book series. It wasn't enough that I obtained it for her, she demanded we watch it with her too. Very painful.

I have my mother recording MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 off of HBO!!!! I hope to cap these and actually provide them in high quality. The ones Ive downloaded over the years are horrible VHS caps! UGHHHH! You would think by now some one would have took on the monumental task and did it right.
Its great that HBO has started showing these though

Most grown people I know who have seen it would rather have fire shoot out their pee hole than to ever watch it again.

I agree...it sucked huge!! It was so lame compared to the far superior 1951 version.

Friendship does last for long time but some times with few little things it can get brake. Hire in the movie Bride wars (http://80millionmoviesfree.com) director has done a tremendous job to understand the girl needs and also the weakness they have. With very few mistakes the movie have been excellent. Sure it does give a good massage to any one who is very much in friendship
To make sure to keep it free movie (http://80millionmoviesfree.com) is where I saw this wonderful movie two cunning girls are fighting with each other for wedding.

Laurel and Hardy - Below Zero (colorized)
Pretty funny classic and the color was added very well. I also watched some Three Stooges colorized and they did a damn fine job.

RocknRolla
Directed by Guy Ritchie, same guy who did Snatch.
It flows like Snatch did, tons of cool, fun characters, all bad guys.
About 15 twisty plots all tied together in twisty ways.
Just friggin fun, I liked it.

Rock N rolla is on my list. Finally watched Finding Amanda, pretty funny. Hopefully i can knock out some of these older movies i got this last summer, and get some of these screeners a chance to be viewed before the retail dvd comes out, i have had that happen before.

City of Ember.. It was pretty good, i am surprised it didnt do so well in theaters. Wife goes to choir tonight so i need to knock out a horror movie or start watching a few for 10 minutes each max to see which movie is good and which ones i need to get rid of. I counted a backlog of 84 movies that i havent seen.
