Indiana Jones 4. WORST. MOVIE. EVAR.

I've watched MST3K episodes that were better than that pile of trash.

I have to say you guys and dolls MUST watch UP (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1049413/) if you thought Wall-E would be tough to match for Pixar then you will be pleased to find out that we hardly had to wait a year for those genius mo foes to do it again! Its great and very emotional. This film touched me in ways that regular films can not even do. Pixar... how do you guys do it? Its like you guys have a window to our minds! FANTASTIC!! I can only wonder where Pixar goes from here and I will NEVER doubt them again. I am sure they will produce many more masterpieces. Are these films on the same level as say the Mona Lisa? I would say they are even more extraordinary!!! AMAZING!

Moon! (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/)
this is another must see film I just watched a while back. Its a Sam Rockwell tour de force! Kevin Spacey plays a helpful robot and Sams only friend as he runs a Moonstation. GREAT! Watch it tonight!

EDIT: Please do not read much about the film Moon! The film is about more than just the moon and if you read much about it you may figure it out and its better you be surprised at where the film is going. No biggie but it makes for a better experience if you do not know the story before hand.

I just watched They Live. Damn good movie. It's known for having one of the best fight scenes ever, but the rest of the movie was great. It reminded me of the Matrix combined with the story of Half-Life 2. As far as the fight scene goes, some people may recognize it from Southpark's Cripple Fight. The choreography of the fight between Jimmy and Timmy was copied straight from that movie. Instead of Jimmy wanting Timmy to put on a hat for a comedy gag, the fight was about putting on some glasses that would allow the wearer to see aliens.Good Classic, the best part is when Roddy piper finds the glasses and the mentioned caption where he is trying to get his friend to wear them

I finally watched Juno after waking up WAY too early this morning and finding nothing on the boobie tube. I did not think I would like it considering what it is about but I found it to be very good indeedy. Ellen Page [ A little dyke with a heart! lol] really made me fall for her young self. Very cute and likable in this film. The entire cast was nice as well.

Any of you folks into the new 3D films? I am! I like the Green/Magenta glasses the best because the Magenta and green too does not overpower the other colors as much like the Blue/Red glasses do and this makes the 3D effects work so much better. Its AMAZING actually. You MUST watch these films on a High Def set though or the 3D effects fall very FLAT. 3D has never worked on a regular TV, not well at any rate, but the new HD sets make them jump out beautifully!!!!

I watched "My Bloody Valentine in 3D" a while back and the visuals ROCK! But if you want to see a TOTALLY AMAZING 3D films watch Coraline in 3D!!!! This film is very good plus the CGI 3D [ EDIT; This is NOT CGI! I forgot its stop motion animation! Its looks so good you will think CGI but its 100% hard work stop motion. AMAZING and it took them 2+ years of hard work! ] will blow your pants off! No kidding! The outside scenes especially look kick ass! I downloaded the HD version and then had to go buy the DVD release to get my green/magenta glasses. But now I have them for any other movie I may get/buy/download!! They give you FOUR pairs of glasses too which is indeed a plus! I am a real 3D fan these days and very pleased they have made such a come back. I have yet to go to a theater and see one yet but I really plan to do so now that I know they work so well. If you have a HD set check one out, you will LOVE it!!

Whatever Works (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1178663/)

This is one of the few Woody Allen movies I have watched and liked. I think the Woody fans did not care for this one so maybe that is why I liked it. It stars Larry David who is perfect for this movie. This one seems to be a lost em because I had heard nothing about it at all but its very good. Get your copy tonight!

THE STORY

Boris Yelnikoff (Larry David), an eccentric, misanthropic University of Chicago graduate and chess teacher, rants with his friends(Michael McKean, Adam Brooks, Lyle Kanouse) about politics and anthropology. He breaks the fourth wall and monologues to the audience explaining his life in recent years: A few years ago, he wakes up in the middle of the night with a panic attack and jumps out the window, but lands on a canopy and survives with only a marked limp. He soon divorces his wife (Carolyn McCormick) and virtually secludes himself from the world, criticizing everyone he meets for not having his level of intellect.

Years pass and Boris comes home one night to find Melodie, a simple-minded 21-year-old woman, (Evan Rachel Wood) lying on his doorstep...

Moon, it was a great movie, highly recommended.

For sure! I recommend this one a while back and I am glad you dug it. I thought you might. Its kind of a thinking persons movie. I watched it TWICE!

Recently, for the first time, I watched the HELLBOY movies in HD! They were MUCH better than I thought they could be. I figured they would be really dumb but....NOT! I saw the second one first and its clearly the BEST of the two films. VERY good and I hope they hurry up with a third!

Also I watched "Letting Go of GOD" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geRUTfgTQlo) by Julia Sweeney on Showtime. Julia has a nice blog (http://juliasweeney.blogspot.com/#JillJulia) too and I read it back to a year ago and then I had to stop because it was back to the Presidential race and I have had it with all the political BS talk until the next race. Anyways... I LOVE this gal, for real. No kidding. I would marry her even though she is older and once played "Pat" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_Pat) on SNL. She is so nice, smart and I actually think BEAUTIFUL! SHIT! I am off topic again! Julia also has another show called "God Said Ha (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvj_Azhcdzs)!". [ Quintin Tarantino actually produced this one for her as they are good friends and if you pay attention at the credits he can be seen bringing her flowers after the performance...cool ] Both are one woman shows where Mrs Sweeney ( yep, now she is married! ) talks about her life experiences. Its VERY entertaining. The first filmed in 1998 talks about her and her brother battle with cancer. Her brother lost the fight and Julia won but can not have kids anymore. IN God Said Ha Julia was still religious but somewhere over that 10 year span Julia lost her religion and that what The second show is all about or mostly about and its VERY good as well. You MUST see this if you enjoy stimulating conversation. You may end up loving this gal as well, despite any religious feelings you may have.

Please watch "God Said Ha" ( you can find many parts of youtube (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=God+Said+Ha&search_type=&aq=f) ) and then follow it up with "Letting Go of God". I think most of you will enjoy both.

Last movie I watched was Night At the Museum 2 and as is with 99% of Ben Stiller flicks (though Envy was quite the tardo movie), I loved it!

I am fixing to get back to One False Move (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0102592/)with Bill Paxton and Billy Bob. BB Thorton actually wrote this, so I should be surprised that not every character is swearing like his is...

A Jewish dentist finds Hebrew inscription behind the teeth of one of his gentile patients. The letters spell out "Help me". .. or something to that effect. The guy goes to his Rabbi and asks "what does it mean?" . . . he is tortured by the message .... he looks in the mouths of his other patients and finds no more messages.... the Rabbi knows shit... basically says we cannot hope to know the mysteries of God ... or something to that end.....

This is just a part of the movie..... the are other very strange parts...

I don't know.... I have a feeling I'm missing something here ... either the Cohen brothers went off the deep end with this or it's a great movie and it went over my head. . . The Movie has a great imbd rating ...

Somehow I missed your post and this is supposed to be my thread or at least my only area of so called expertise...BLUH! Well I totally let ZP down on this one! I ALWAYS go see Coen Bothers movies at the theater and somehow I missed this one. I am so FRIGGIN mad I could pour hot coffee on my bean bags! HURM!!! VERY PISSY! I have the movie down loaded now and will be watching it tonight or tomorrow...probably tomorrow because tonight I MAY be getting BUSY!! YEEHAW!

I watched The Invention of Lying and I thought it was very good. Just think of the all the things that would NOT have happened if no one ever told a lie! Oh man! Cool stuff. I wish I would have invented it myself. Think of all the POWER you would have if you were the only person who understood the concept of saying things that were not true or even possible!!! Think about it! The movie delivered the good IMO.

There is a comedy routine you MUST watch called "Why Do I Do This" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvMoF4lAwmw). Its stand up with long time comedian Bill Burr. You can find it for download easy. Why Bill Burr is not super famous is anyone's guess. He is a GREAT comedy writer but I have not seen him on hardly any TV shows and NEVER in any movies at all. He was on a few Dave Chappelle shows but you may not recognize him because he use to have kinda red short curly hair but now he is almost bald. He looks cool bald IMO. Anyways, his stand up is one of the best I have seen in many years. Pick it up this weekend and laugh your ass off! "WHY DO I DO THIS" HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

"Anne Frank: The Whole Story" (2001) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0246430/)

Hannah Taylor-Gordon bore an uncanny resemblance to Anne Frank. Same goes for the rest of the cast.

I know that most people have read Anne's diary at some point in their scholarly endeavors, but I never have. Why? Because just hearing about what she (and the rest of the victims) endured (and so bravely) was / still is beyond my comprehension. When I was little, I was supposed to read it, but bullsh*tted my way out of it. Just the thought of it made me cry.

We watched it last night and even though I have read Hitler's profile, the evil he wrought is still beyond my realm of ...whatever.

The movie was excellent.

Well... there have been 3 -

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 (2009) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1111422/)
John Travolta, Denzel Washington, Luis Guzeman...

"Plot:
Armed men hijack a New York City subway train, holding the passengers hostage in return for a ransom, and turning an ordinary day's work for dispatcher Walter Garber into a face-off with the mastermind behind the crime."

EXCELLENT! 10/10

Inkheart (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0494238/)
Brenden Fraiser, Paul Bettany, Helen Mirren...

"Plot:
A young girl discovers her father has an amazing talent to bring characters out of their books and must try to stop a freed villain from destroying them all, with the help of her father, her aunt, and a storybook's hero."

9/10

Beyond a Reasonable Doubt (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1183251/)
Michael Douglas, Jesse Metcalf...

"Remake of the 1956 film noir film "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt" in which a writer's plan to expose a corrupt district attorney takes an unexpected turn."

Man, this last movie threw me for a loop at the VERY end. 10/10!!
I suppose if you have seen the original, this one might not be for you but hey, I saw the original AND the remake of Cape Fear and enjoyed them both!

Wow, thats crazy man! Its hard for me to believe that someone like you is just now seeing this classic film. I LOVE Scareface. Its not the best of course but its a classic IMO. For its time, 1983, it was way OVER THE TOP. Its hard for younger folks to get it but back then this film was ground breaking for its violent content. No big budget films with this quality of actors or script ever got this violent. Now days its in every other film produced. Perhaps that says a lot about todays society. I don't know whats its saying if its saying anything at all though.

I am a HUGE DePalma fan! Perhaps even more than Quentin Tarantino and if you know me thats saying a LOT!!! Because I would probably go down on QT if he asked me to! But I digress. Oliver Stone also wrote this baby. Now I LOVE a few films by ol Ollie but to me Oliver lost something somewhere and I do not think he will ever find it or get it back... But while he had it he did some nice work!

DePalma borrowed a lot from Alfred Hitchcock. You can not tell by this film but if you watch other like Cape Fear or Snake Eyes you will see what I mean. Both of those films are really good but Cape Fear is HIGHLY under-rated in my book. That film is a master piece!!!!

Anyways...for what Scareface is about its a very good film. The younger generation has taken this one under their wing and they still talk about it today but they will never know how much this filmed flipped the script back in 1983, it was epic!

It was a 6.5 on a scale of 10. The film is slow and long. . . but it has a crazy twist at the end. You really don't know your being tricked until the very end. . . that's what I didn't like about the movie.

The two ladies at the plant and their foreman are well known all over America. Every work place must have these people. They SUCK!

I haven't seen a good movie in ages. I believe Avatar was the last movie I saw and really enjoyed. I saw it in 3D. I'm waiting to see Alice In Wonderland in 3D as well. Perhaps this weekend.

Can anyone recommend a good flick for at home, new or old?

Se7en, No Country for Old Men, The Beach or if you want something really obscure but classic for a larf check out Time bandits. Has Sean Connery in it...good flick, some might say for kids but I think it is a decent movie for anyone looking for a good escape.

I have not seen Legends of the Fall in years but THAT is a good movie.
Usual suspects comes highly reccomended.

If you like Kevin Spacey the 21 remake was a good flick

Hey thx for the suggestions. I've seen all of those except for Legends of the Fall, which i will check out. thx!Rack if you have not done so you should download "The Lost Room" it is a mini series that was on sci fi and I think it was also a potential pilot that was never picked up.

Synopsis: The Lost Room is a science fiction television miniseries that aired on the Sci Fi Channel in the United States. The series revolves around the titular room and some of the everyday items from that room which possess unusual powers. The show's protagonist, Joe Miller, is searching for these objects to rescue his daughter, Anna, who has disappeared inside the Room. Once a typical room at a 1960s motel along U.S. Route 66, the Lost Room exists outside of normal time and space since 1961, when what is only referred to as "the Event" took place.

Joe, A Policeman uncovers a key while working on a murder case. The key can open every door and take him into a motel room, but if you leave there something that doesn't belong to you- it will be gone as soon as the room "restarts"... He discovers that there are objects hidden in whole the world. They don't look special, but they have special powers. When his daughter is kidnapped and he is framed for killing his partner, he must find a way to bring her back from the room, while working with different groups and men searching for all the objects. But who can he really trust when everybody goes crazy once touching the objects

The Room is the nonexistent Room 10 at the abandoned Sunshine Motel outside of Gallup, New Mexico. At 1:20:44 p.m. on May 4, 1961, something happened at the site of the Room that erased it and all its contents from history. This is referred to as "the Event" or "the Incident", and is thought to be the reason for the unusual properties of the Room and the Objects. At the time of the Event, the motel was in quite serviceable condition, holding nine rooms total. One of the Objects, the undeveloped Polaroid picture, allows the user to view the post-event tenth room as it was at the time of the Event by standing in its currently vacant location at the Sunshine Motel ruins in the real world.

Iron Man 2 - better than the first, I did like it, but for some reason I just don't care for the character much, so I'm not as over the top with the love for it that many are. Good film, definitely worth seeing, but not amazing or anything.

I searched your email address on Google and discovered you begging for tracker invites HERE (http://filesharefreak.com/2009/01/02/revolutiontt-open-for-signups/), so don't play the stupid, "how do u download movies" crap. You know damn well you don't d/l movies from this site.

You are welcome to post and participate here, but invite begging is against the rules. You should read them before posting again. Now, if you need help, fine, ask for it properly. You will find many people here willing to help, if you go about it the right way.

Dairy of the Dead. I put off this movie for a long time but I actually really liked this one. But I am a zombie movie fan so that drives my score up a bit. Its worth watching and has some very cool characters and death scenes too!!!! I found a Amish character very cool indeed. "They Live" in 720P HDTV rip. Its looked fanFriggin'tastic! This 1988 oldie really takes me back & is a sci-fi/horror? movie I can watch over & over again. It was with only this recent viewing, some 22 years after its release, that I realize that every ones cheesy acting is on purpose because of the Aliens signal that is sent out making everyone "be good". Thats why Roddy's character was so set on being a good citizen at the beginning of the film. I feel like such a jerk not ever realizing that shite. It has been many years since I saw this film but I would of thought all this would have dawned on me when I saw it as a teen. Anyhow, I enjoy this film & if you have not seen it check it out. Its like a cheaper ( 4 Million ) "Total Recall" or along those lines. I think Roddy could have become a great action star...I wonder what happened.

Wife rented Get Him to The Greek and Robin Hood the new one....neither piqued our interests. Walked away after 15 min into The Greek and the wifus kept asking what was happening in Robin Hood, she wasn't paying attention to the movie. I turned off Robin Hood about an hour into it.

Watching Neverending Story on Netflix Instant right now. Love the movie. Sucks that I had to fast forward some parts because my wife thinks our daughter would be scared of the wolf. Next will be The Crystal or Dark Crystal...whatever the hell its called. Jim Henson and Frank Oz movie.

Watched Get him to the Greek, made it through the whole movie, but was not very entertained... Had high hopes for this one, and it just didn't do it for me one bit...
Machete was good though, gritty and funny. Would watch again.
I also made it through Robin Hood, but really didn't enjoy the re-imagined story line. Kept feeling like it was building to some great moment, then was a let down at the end...
Also watched the A-Team. Didn't expect much, but it was entertaining at least. I loved the old shows though, so that helped I guess.
Last and least, was Youth in revolt. Expected to be laughing a lot, and again, was dissapointed. Maybe my expectations are too high for comedies, but I didn't even laugh once during this movie.

Got the wifey to watch Full Metal Jacket for the first time the other day too, she loved it :D

Decided to watch a cheesy movie last night, Caged Fury. It had the young Erik Estrada in it...I was like, come one, Erik Estrada....it couldn't be that bad. Yeah it was. Only good part was the first 3 min where you see boobies on a somewhat attractive asian. After that, it was bad.

"In this fast-paced exploitation actioner, Erik Estrada comes to the rescue of two innocent women wrongfully incarcerated in a rough lesbian-run prison and forced to be sex slaves for wealthy male visitors. Teaming with the sister of one of the girls -- who arrived in Hollywood hoping for fame and fortune -- a dogged detective (Estrada) and a biker work to track them down and set them free. Jack Carter co-stars."

Youth IN Revolt turned out HORRIBLE! I too thought it would be funny. I wonder now if perhaps Micheal Cera (?) has outlasted his flavor...and then there is that new mo0vie of his where he saves the world or whatever. He has some legs left I suppose.

I am Watching "Snaky Eyes" by Brain De Palma right now now & will follow it up with one of my favorite films the remake of Cape Fear (1991) by Martin Scorsese. Two of my most favorite directors back to back!!!! Its a classic film Friday here!!

Today I watched in upper boredom "the mist" for the 3rd time. Cool movie, but I don't think I'll watch it again any time soon.
But the show stopper of this past year (2010) was "unstoppable" for me. Kept me entertained from start to finish without a second of boredom.
I highly recommend it!!!

Great flick.

PS.... yea, Ben Stiller looked odd, not quite himself, actually "prettier", if you want to call it that way.
I only saw a "making of" kind of thing but I do admit that at times, I was doubting myself if that was actually Ben Stiller.
Funny...

Unstoppable turned out to be a good movie. I thought it would be dull. Being based on true events really made a difference.

The Mist is nice as well. A Stephen King movie at its horror best. I like how a lot of the cast ended up in the new "Walking Dead" series. A lot of the W.D. cast come from King fare.

Forget Me Not (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1147684/)

Has crap rating on IMDb, but our vote brought it up from a 3.something. It deserves a solid 7 and I'm a hard horror critic.

Plot -
"It's graduation weekend, and Sandy Channing, the popular class president of her small-town high school, should be enjoying the time of her life. But when her friends start disappearing, Sandy discovers they have unwittingly awakened the vengeful spirit of a girl they wronged long ago. Fighting for her sanity, Sandy must unlock a dark secret from her own past before it's too late. "
