Let the Right One In Official HD Trailer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICp4g9p_rgo

All the youngsters caught up in the Twilight thingie should check out a much better vamp story...this movie. I LOVE it.

Another film i downloaded from the Pirate Bay months ago is the 1950's movie "The Bad Seed". Its nothing like "Let the right One In" but it is about a young girl who does some very evil deeds. It is so dark its hard to believe the movie is so old. The Black and white really help the atmosphere of the film too. I find black and white films to be beautiful and some films benefit from B&W a great deal. I hope more films use the Sin City B&W with a splash of color method. Its very powerful in the visual department.

I don't know what that page says because I do not have stupid IMDB Pro but it looks like a REMAKE! While I may not mind it, if it is done right, I am almost certain an American version will be dumbed down and cleaned up.

Finally got a chance to see believers. Pretty good movie with a twist at the end. Twilight was pretty gay. Its high school musical vampires without any music.. Just so shitty that its bad. Let the Right one in is awesome. I was pissed that the screener appeared after holloween, some friends was looking for a good movie to watch. Finally got a good review in Entertainment weekly, they been pushing twilight on 2 different occasions on the front cover.. Its like they have no taste.

Now I am viewing the first season of Kids in the Hall. How I miss the kids. Its hard to believe this show is so old now. Seems like just yesterday that HBO ran the series...almost.

Its strange to think back on the first series of shows I noticed on HBO. I 'member the Kids and "Dream On". What were some of the other old series HBO started out with?

Tales from the Crypt - the granddaddy?

was The Hitcher HBO? Must check it

i miss Kids too.... i still laugh when i watch the reruns.

"Fags eat poop"! They could at least admit its by accident. I do not think I could handle living close to these judgmental assholes. I hated seeing the little kid get hit in the head by a passing car but his parents should not put him into that environment when its begets violence. But...by their beliefs the kid would not have been hit if his belief in God was strong enough. So its the kids fault.

They are banned from the babtist convention and every year they go their and picket. And Texas has tons of US soldiers that are in the war and they threaten to come picket at the funeral.. Which the town stands out and waits for them to give them an ass beating, of course they never show. .

If your looking for a really good movie with Gere and Terrance Howard.. The Hunting Party is really good. Finally caught up on some of the older movies i have yet to watch. At the end it gives the simple facts about people and our means of not catching them..

Like Posting flyers around towns trying to catch people who committed war crimes... And having wanted posters with a 1800 number on them. You can only use 1800 in America. So crazy.

I know I am listing a lot of other stuff besides movies but I figure I might as well post TV show and shorts here too. Posting another thread would be too bothersome.

I have been digging on a lot of Bugs Bunny, Warner Brothers and plenty of MGM classic cartoons lately. There are some big collections out there for download. Many Ive never seen and I thought I had seen about every Bugs Bunny cartoon there is but not so. Its easy to forget that they released those cartoons for decades in the theaters. Its like they never stop. But Tex Avery is really getting me moist. What a genius. His cartoons are amazing works of art and hold up very will to the Warner Brothers classics. I wish they could make em like this again but then again Pixar makes me pretty happy. If they keep making films like Wall-E and Caroline their legacy is solid. Now, back to more Droopy Dog!

I sorta like it, sometimes. If you like that movie fleecy download "Full Tilt Boogie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXZQDtxV_8w)". I think there is still a copy up on mininova or the Pirate bay. Its pretty rare and came out with the double disc set many years ago. Its a documentary about the trouble they had making that movie. Its really good and often funny.

There was a trailer up on youtube that was really interesting. Apparently a demo film was made of this movie before QT got involved. It seems QT inherited the script and re wrote it. The demo, which I can not find now, had a different lead but looked pretty cool.

You should read thescript online. There are some great scenes that did not make the movie and there are some that must have been re written on the set because parts are horrible to say the least. Reading it its hard to believe it got the green light. I guess QT being attached to re write it helped a lot.

One of my favorite comedies. Only Shawn of the Dead beats it out.

BTW, you can watch Dusk till Dawn, the whole movie, on youtube. So far they have not taken if off! lol

Back to the Future 3, I never realized how awful/hilarious this movie was until rewatching it. Just a step too far, I mean why does Doc tell Marty that the time machine is too dangerous, and then fly away in a time train? What a dink.

Mels_Smileys45
March 20th, 2009, 08:20 PM
I think perhaps the Doc had to come check that history turned out okay because he and Marty changed a few things in their adventure.

I started a thread here about all the plot holes from these films though. When Marty came back to the old west in the time machine and ran out of gas how come they never thought to check the second time machine for gas or spare parts? Yes, there had to be two time machines in the old west because doc arrived himself in a TIME MACHINE! What idiots!

I am looking for the one with Goober where they are gonna hang a man at sun rise but come morning the sun doesn't rise...only in this one town. Thats a great one.

I also like the one with Roscoe from the Dukes of Hazard where he comes back from the dead and everyone in the town is scared shitless of him after he starts doing some strange things around town.

I finally watched W. last night and it was not what I expected. I thought it was a very even and objective look at the man, W.. When it was over I actually felt sorry for the man. It made me feel that Bush often just wanted to try and do the right thing for the people even though he was wrong is some circumstances, very wrong. His advisories were vilified in the movie and probably rightly so.

The movie took away most of the hate I have had for Bush and left me feeling sorry for him. I hope his life is much happier now that this is all behind him.

All the actors did an amazing job. Simply AMAZING! After awhile you forget that these are not the real people but actors. They all nail it. Stunning acting performances and Josh Brolin shines as W. His young and old Bush are dead on pertrailals of the man. I didn't think he could get it that close but its extraordinary!!!! His acting skill have moved into another league. The Robert Dinero or Al Pacino level! Amazing cast all around!

I also watched the TV show "The Mighty Boosh (http://www.themightyboosh.com/)" and it was GREAT! I have had the series downloaded for a month or two but I saw it on Adult Swim last night. Finally they are importing some quality content and getting rid of assinine shows like Assy McGee. That was one stupid show. I usually can watch stupid shows no matter how silly the premise but an ass with legs who is a detective was simply not funny to me.

Watch "THE MIGHTY BOOSH"! These guys are insane in a great way. I havent seen off the wall comedy like this since "The Young Ones".

I would really like to know what all his powers are. It also looks like they may have bumped up the CGI some. I dunno because I have not seen the 2004 movie in HD but I plan on grabbing it soon so I can do just that. Pixar is fabulous.

The Jack Jack short kinda pissed me off. In the movie, you had 4 characters, each with their own powers to compliment each other in their fighting abilities. Then you get Jack Jack, who on his own probably could take down his whole family. They added all those powers just for the sake of comedy watching him terrorize his sitter. I liked him better as a morph as he was at the end of the movie; being able to turn his body into different substances and materials.

Who knows...perhaps its like the supers babies are born with all sorts of powers that eventually tune to one specific power since a baby doesnt really know what its doing and can't focus. I saw that on something else but can't remember what. Still I think it was funny.

Signa
March 31st, 2009, 02:38 AM
That's an interesting theory, but I've only heard of supers getting their powers at adolescence, if they have to develop them. As Jack Jack was in the movie, he could give Dr. Manhattan a run for his money. He could turn into neutrinos, or constantly alter his atomic structure into confuse Jon. The only question is if Jon could keep up. I think he could since time is irrelevant to Jon. All of his extra powers revealed in the short just make him too powerful against average crooks and even most super-villains.

What if he never grow up?

Signa
March 31st, 2009, 03:52 AM
That could be interesting, because as a baby, Jack Jack wouldn't be able to control his powers, especially if they are controlled through his emotions. I guess if he stayed in that state, then small-time crooks still would have a chance. But if you sat him near a crime scene, crooks would stand less of a chance against him than the survivors do against a witch in Left 4 Dead.

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed I had put off watching this one for a long while because frankly, I had a lot of preconceived prejudice against it. After watching it I found it to be be pretty good. The scientists who keep the bible out of the Intelligent Design theory actually have some good points and there are some really big holes in Evolution. In my opinion a blend of the two could be right and to dismiss one of either the two theories without any consideration is a form of prejudice and science should not be about that.

The Darwinist can't explain how life began so they come up with all kinds of wacky explanations and for some reason they expect everyone to go along with it like they actually know how it happened. They claim a comet may have brought life or even aliens seeded the Earth and both sound just as far fetched as there being some kind of underlying intelligence to the universe.

I have expressed how I feel the Earth is alive before and how the Earth is the true mother of all life here. ID makes some sense to me. Of course right now its impossible to prove but so is the origins of life on Earth or even the Big Bang Theory. Its all a big guess.

Anyways, The film made me ask questions the scientific community do not want people to ask anymore. They have become as bad as the church it seems. They want everyone to think ID means God but some of the Christians want ID to verify their God also. ID doesn't mean God at all and that is one thing I came away with after watching this movie. I liked it because it dares to ask the questions many people are trying so hard to silence. I would recommend people watch it and keep an open mind about it. For the first 20 minutes I wanted to turn it off and not even listen but the longer I left my mind open to their message the more I understood what they had to say. I think its all just as possible as Aliens birthing civilization or even the frozen comet theory. Actually, I find those two theories almost funny.

CGI movies have brought us some of the best films, animated or otherwise, and its only getting better! I absolutely love The Incredibles and you should really see Wall E! Not to let this get him down, he gets a prosthetic hand and becomes a traveling sales man. But it's really all down hill for him from that night on until ... Reluctantly Ismael agrees to go on the road and shortly afterward actually finds that life outside the farm is quite fun. What I saw of Hot Rod was embarrassingly stupid, but it made itself clear to the audience. If you were still watching Hot Rod more than ten minutes in, then you knew why you were staying.

I saw crank on TV last night.. I was surprised to see it, i was thinking it came out in 2007-2008.. But nope. It came out in 2006.. Time flys fast. I hardly can believe all the stuff i downloaded and burnt to DVDR are now making its way on to TNT and TBS.

Crank II comes out April 17 2009.

I watched the first half of Crank 2 last week and shut it off.. It's quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. Statham wasn't bad, he was his usual good self. But boy did the director and producers fuck this one up.

Okay, this is getting weird. I downloaded Tropic Thunder several times. First I kept trying to get the best version and then the uncut version came out and I got that too. but last night the movie came on cable and there were lots of part missing from all the versions I downloaded from the net. This has actually happened to me with another movie and makes me wonder if somehow this is being done on purpose. Tropic Thunder was much more funny with all the missing pieces added back in. The missing parts were just little pieces here and there that capped off the funny skits through-out the film. Without them the jokes fall flat. I think the movie industry is seeded bad versions of their films for some unknown reason. Now I must try and find a version that has the entire film really uncut because the ones I have downloaded so far are incomplete. I never would have known it if I did not watch the cable version. Be warned!

Maybe you need to get a good private torrent site as opposed to those egalitarian, public ones you like so much. There's plenty of input on length, and a wider variety of rips.

I don't mean to be rude since youre my buddy and all but that is just stupid and you know it... or else youre a secret elitist assmuch which I don't think you are. One version I got was actually sent from someone who got it from a private site. The other half dozen came from all over the internet. It doesn't really matter where I got them actually. The fact is the show i saw on HBO had more content to it than all those early release versions...even the uncut/directors cut versions and was a much better film because of it.

Public sites are much better than private sites in every respect and may have some legit uses as well. Private sites have 99.9% illegal content and I am only giving them the .01% out of kindness. The private sites have THE VERY SAME CONTENT as the public sites when it comes to new movies and you know it. Its all the same. Some people just feel safer on a private site for some foolish reason that makes no sense to no one but themselves. IN fact, people sharing illegal content on an illegal web ring are WAY more likely to be ARRESTED one day. Organized crime is not a laughing matter and when it comes down to it, members only sites that traffic copyrighten files is organized crime and people who sign up and share that content might as well be members of the mob. lol BT is a DEAD DUCK and since the public trackers are almost all gone or soon to be dead too the private sites will be next on the list. But...who will go to jail in the private site busts? The owners or the people who provided the content? On EVERY private site the members MUST sign a CONTRACT saying the will not share illegal content and that they are responsible for doing so! LOL Some people are screwed for life. Everything we do online will follow us around forever and many, many people will be sued for MILLIONS of DOLLARS!

Don't fuck with me and public trackers Napho! Today is NOT the day! You elite cock stain!

Chasing Ghosts is playing on Showtime this month...and it to is VERY DIFFERENT than the download version! The music is all different ( which SUX! ) and all the people interviewed get to talk a lot more about their subjects of choice. All the 80's music has been taken out and replaced with cheap generic knock offs which totally ruin an other wise superior version of this awesome film.

I brought the kids to see Transformers 2 this past weekend. Critics be damned, I actually liked it much better than the first one - probably because it had more action. Still hated the moving camera effect, but it didn't seem as bad as it was in the first movie.

Last night, I watched Watchmen. That was also a very good movie.

I have heard that Trans II is a robot version of the movie Independance Day.
The movie must not be all that good, because I have the best indicator in the world to tell if a movie is good or not.
Any movie my youngest son (19yrs) likes always turns out to be less then good.
The only good version of the original Transformers is one that has the Rifftrax audio with it. The former MST3K boys make it worth seeing with their added opinions.

LOL. They showed the trailer for that before Transformers 2. I thought it looked like it might be good. Of course, what they showed in the trailer might be the only good part of the movie, but it looked promising.

Double Posties!!!

Anyone seen Coraline in 3d??? I can't wait to see this in 3D. Its a very cool animated, stop motion no less, movie! I am wondering if the 3D is the blue/red or the amber variety. I guess I will check on that. If its a different color besides the blue/red I will go buy a copy just for the glasses. I may buy a legit copy anyway because I highly enjoy this stop motion animation. I also respect the writer who wrote the original material and would like to support everyone involved. Us pirates are NOT all bad!

Triple post! How awesome is that!

I dug up more info on Coraline. Unfortunatly the films 3D uses the green-magenta type glasses! So I will be buying a copy much sooner than I have intended but I MUST see this film in 3D because many critics have said this is the BEST 3D film EVER made. Some scenes are said to be mind blowing in 3D.

720P should finally bring a real 3D experience to the home. Old tube TV's had trouble displaying 3D and always blew cock IMO. The technology was just not there. The new high def sets should display 3D very well and I am very excited to experience Coaline in this manner.

I may have to MacGyver me some glasses tonight!

I can't get enough of this movie! It is so AMAZING! When you see it in hi def and in 3D you will demand that EVERY movie be in 3D! Some scenes are so beautiful you will hit pause and fawn over them for hours! The 3D is not just used as a special effect but it is often used in a manner that simulates using a camera in ways that would normally be very difficult. Its hard to explain it and its one of those must see to understand things. Best Animation I have seen since Wal-E but since this is real stop motion animation I think Coraline wins hands down. Some scenes must have taken months just to figure out how to shoot them.

When watching the film you will sometimes swear that there is an object right in your face, just about to touch you! You may even wave your hands in front of you in a vain attempt to touch the 3D objects on screen! Its really that good!

I watched Beowulf in HD... Amazing visuals and actually a better movie than I expected from such a lousy story. CGI movies are really hitting their stride. Anyone remember when no one could figure out the visuals of Jurassic Park? I have to wonder if actors will be necessary in 10 years time.

I also keep watching Coraline in HD 3D. I have to see more 3D movies. I wish I could have seen Beowulf in 3D. I read that it was amazing and I beat it was for sure. There are lots of 3D movies coming up and thats great. The Final Destination 3D should be interesting.

I just watched They Live. Damn good movie. It's known for having one of the best fight scenes ever, but the rest of the movie was great. It reminded me of the Matrix combined with the story of Half-Life 2. As far as the fight scene goes, some people may recognize it from Southpark's Cripple Fight. The choreography of the fight between Jimmy and Timmy was copied straight from that movie. Instead of Jimmy wanting Timmy to put on a hat for a comedy gag, the fight was about putting on some glasses that would allow the wearer to see aliens.
