people dont know if they have good content and speeds so they want to know the stats of the tracker which is why they would like them, cause some stats arent available until you are a member of the site.

If you followed this thread you would see that I already wrote that this is a site where everyone can upload i.e. not a 0-day tracker, hence the speeds of new torrents can be everywhere from X MB/s to 5 KB/s

But does that make a bad site? If you think so then stick to 0-day trackers.

You see a post, you click QUOTE and REPLY and you type a response.

The response hits the end of the thread on the next page that you havent seen yet. Sometimes this happens twice.

The only way to avoid this is to read ahead to the end then backtrack to the post you wanted to comment on. This isnt likely to happen.

i don't think you understand what i asked.

i do note that there are some posts that helena has made that have not only stats but the categories of what is tracked. the only thing that i believe that i was questioning was if those sites she's providing stats for also provide the categories of what's tracked. if the answer is "no" for those sites, i accept that. if these are sites that she belongs to (and i'm not stupid enough to believe that despite what you think) it wouldn't be too much to ask for to provide that information if the stats are provided as well.

and it seems to me that this is such a bug up your ass that someone can't ask something as innoucuous as what's being tracked. you think that's not important information to have for someone to consider before signing up or would you rather have someone waste time going through the process and not have anything of interest of being tracked? if that's the case, i suppose there are a bunch of idiots signed up to thousands of trackers through this thread. it was a simple request of information that some people provided and others didn't. i would think that some uniformity of information would help the process, but what do i know. i spent 4 months lurking and can't think of new ideas that help everybody.

I thought he did, and I know I did from your explanation of it. The bottem line is this, I ASKED for stats because it can be provided reasonably and serves the purpose of staying away from lesser and foreign sites.

If I had wanted to know everything that was being tracked, I would have asked for it, and I didnt. It's not reasonable to try to itemize what the fuck every site has and even if I could; I WOULDNT.

These sites are private for a reason, and its not ethical to post what they have to an open forum, one person did it recently, and I held my tongue but wouldnt let it be a common occurance.

The catagories are pretty much the same in every forum, and if you really want to know if a particular sites has anything essoteric, then ask somewhere appropriate.

The bottem line is that we are not going to provide more information in this thread and that's that.

Now the explanation:

Most private trackers run on one of about 4 different "engines" (templates) with only basic differences in graphics...meaning that, unless otherwise noted, you can safely assume that the categories are going to be something along the lines of:

Anime Appz/Misc Appz/PC-ISO E-Book Games/PC-ISO Games/PC-Rips Games/PS2 Games/PS3 Games/Wii Games/XBox360 Handheld/PSP Mac Movies/DVDR Movies/Packs Movies/VCD Movies/WMV Movies/x264 Movies/XviD Music Music/Packs MusicVideos TV/DVDR TV/HR TV/Packs TV/x264 TV/XViD XXX XXX/DVDR

Give or take some subcategories nearly every site is going to run some variation of this list. Any major differences are almost always noted in Helena's description (read: "Audiobook Tracker" or "Porn Tracker"). Besides being quickly accessible on the home page of almost all these sites, the number of files and number of users is a solid indicator of a site's potential value. That's why Krell asked for it. ¿Comprende?

So to answer your question: Yes, we could do that for every site listed. No, we won't do it. It's just not practical. If you want to add that info to the postings, by all means do it. Far be it for me to stand between you and happiness.

I think it would be great to erase this thread and start another. However, sometimes stats are null and void (literally none to be found). I am not willing to search for five or ten minutes...the rest looks great (except for the screenshots. Been there, done that.).

You (me? Somebody?) could start a "Tracker Reviews" section as other sites have done. I think that would be fun for the regulars (beggers will not work that hard, ffs...).
