STMusic isn't open, is it always on the list Krell?

That highlights a problem with the site, because although it shows the signup for StMusic to be open, it in fact requires an invite code . There's no facility for reporting errant trackers listed . So in that instance, close but no cigar .

I've checked a few sites out & they've been open for signups as reported (it is automatically checked every 10 mins) . Not fool proof, but not completely useless (unless the site you're after isn't being tracked) .

This thread sucked so bad, she had to go to the hospital and get heavily medicated. After the seizures subside, she will be back, addicts always do.

.

Ain't that the truth.. This thread just goes Downhill more and more everyday.

And the same people keep coming back for another taste of the pie!

got all the trackers I need, except for BCG, And since Helena is gone, seems like not only that the torrent site reporting slowed down, but a lot of th animosity between her and some members of the forum as well.

The open-signup thread was great, but been too abused

audionews.ru is open for a day

It's a music application tracker. Has 1418 users. The categories are

AUDIOAPPS, has 417 torrents

Subforums: DAW Apps, Mastering & Audio Editor Apps, DJ Apps

SAMPLE LIBRARIES, has 2472 torrents
Sample content only, no ROMplers

Subforums: (removed as it contains brand names)

VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTS, Synths + FX
DXi, VSTi, RTAS, AU, ROMplers etc..., has 1283 torrents

Subforums: FX

MAC, has 485 torrents

MISC, has 156 torrents

SHEET MUSIC, has 34 torrents

Subforums: Other instruments, Full Score, Guitar, Piano

LEARNING, has 598 torrents

Subforums: Video, Books

PRESETS, has 131 torrents

UPDATE, has 86 torrents

So that makes us 1418 users and 5662 torrents.
I checked the mac torrents and the first page gives 50 torrents, from 3rd of December till today. Most of them have 20-50 seeders, some have more, only four have less than 10 seeders. On the last page it has torrents a year old and most of them still have seeds (1-6 seeds).

Looks good overall. The only problem (to me at least) is it has a forum format*. So if anyone's interested, Registration will be available from 02 feb 2008 07:00 GMT till 03 feb 2008 07:00 GMT

February 2nd, 2008, 10:56 AM
Yeah nip that in the bud quick.

Beggers, and especially NEWBIE beggers can find themselves in the deficit a few hundred points at a time. I havent made an example out of anyone, but if I do, it aint gonna be pretty.

All of you, pay your dues and quit with begging.

And besides that, just posting a link to some shit no one else knows anything about is anything to get credit for, shit I cant get a monkey to do that.

Post the stats of sites THAT YOU ARE A MEMBER OF instead.

I already know that if you post a link to bald_gay_monkey_fuckers_torrentz Im not going to sign up, but most of the crap published in this thread is vague and isnt worth my investigation or time.

And theyre not worth yours either.

I stayed up 2 hours after I should have gone to bed last night just to post this as you called it, SH*T, for you guys. I DID sign up to EVERY ONE of them before posting other than the DVD club one as I was getting too sleepy. I saw how everyone was telling HelenP they missed her posts, so I went back through some older messages on this site and another site, rechecked to see if the sites were open again for signups, signed up myself, then posted them. I'm only trying to UPGRADE my reputation here by trying to help, hoping I might be able to get into the trading post area. Why did I bother? Have a nice weekend.

Krell, I know you are actually trying to help but.. the main sites I belong to do not have open signups, they are invitation only so I can't post about them.

Did you guys even try the peer hub? It has new movies, etc.

ThePoo
February 2nd, 2008, 01:18 PM
BTracs isn't that wonderful.

They say that Bithq is open, but it's been saying that it's been invite only for months now, and only opening once a month for new signups.

I pretty much see the same trackers there day in and day out.

And.. come to think of it, what does having rep points/rep power do for you? Besides being able to rep other people?

Krell
February 2nd, 2008, 02:17 PM
Everyone tries to up their rep and post count to get in to the trade area, which IS GOING AWAY, so quite trying so hard.

I dont know why a total of about 5 people miss HelenaP posting sites like the fucking new york stock exchange, except that they are lazy. It's like feeding the neighborhood strays every day, they keep showing up looking for a free meal.

ace263, cerberus and tclintonbaker are the only news worthy sign-up posts for quite a few back. ace263 posted stats as requested in his first post. Why? He's been reading this thread.

I would rep them before I would rep kiri_9 but I cant, because all I can rep is 627 points, so as much as I appreciate them setting the example, I dont feel like they've earned 627 points yet. Theyre still new, and if they turn out to be little shitheads, then I have to revoke that much rep . . .

.

kiri_9
February 2nd, 2008, 02:41 PM
This thread explains how you get them,
http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=42803&highlight=trading+post.
They are useful so other people know you aren't just another dweeb (aka they can trust you or what you say to be true). I now understand why they use them to limit access to the trading post, they're trying to protect users from being taken by dishonest fly-by-nights.

BTW, all sites I posted last night have been in operation since at least middle of 2006, so they are not new/questionable ones from what I can tell.

kiri_9
February 2nd, 2008, 02:44 PM
Sorry I read HelenaP's last post where she stated she wasn't able to get the stats and sign up or don't she didn't care. This led me to believe they did not require stats to be posted. Thanks for that tip, I will only post with stats from now on, and will reread their posts since you said they are good. I am updating the previous posts to reflect the number of files and content as I can. And.. wow, I have points!!! Thank you very much.

cerebus
February 2nd, 2008, 02:55 PM

No need for rep though, I'm not looking to trade invites. Unless there are other benefits like free booze, whores or something?

In light of recent developments, I decided to give back to this thread and found these trackers open,
I also tried to provide a good balance of different trackers available.

Rather than arguing and bickering with other membersin this thread,
we should all just post the name of trackers that are open, and stats that
go along with them, or don't post at all, and maybe, just maybe, this
thread will be useful once again until Helena recovers and decides to post again.

Krell, my public apology to you about the comments made earlier, perhaps I and
other members have taken for granted all the great trackers we now belong to
thanks to this thread, and now it's time to give back to this thread, rather than
just constantly take from it.

I'm not in this thread to argue, rather, I read it to find open signups to private trackers.

I found these by going to Google and typing: torrents inurl:signup.php,
you could also try: torrents inurl:register.php

I then checked against http://www.btracs.com to see if it was listed,
I'm only listing the ones I didn't belong to, and ones not listed on btracs, because
all the ones listed that I belonged to I found through this thread or btracs.

I've only gotten as far as page 6 with the Google trick, so I'm sure there are many
other trackers open, and perhaps others can contribute to this thread as well following
the simple formula of using the google trick, checking to see if it's listed on btracs,
if possible, double check if it hasn't been listed here before, and at that point....

Post the name of the tracker, signup URL and stats, on that note, these trackers are open.

If you're busy doin the DO's, you don't have time for the DON'Ts

See his post? If everyone would just make that simple 5 minute contribution, then there wouldnt BE such a dependency on any other one single person for this thread, or anything else in these forums.

Thanks Donny25, not for the apology, but for taking the initialtive to set an example for how this thread can be productive and grow. I too apologize, I don't want you to be a one hit wonder or an arm chair quarterback here.

Yes HelenaP posts a buttload of open signup info, but what's the point if 90% of it is still worthless to parts of the population? As I've pointed out, I don't speak Polish or Hindi, I don't like open sites that use everyone elses trackers, so why should I have to sign up there to discover this info?

This is a tip I received (probably from this thread) when I first got the link to it.
Be sure to clear cookies, use 10 chars min for pw and username, INCLUDE numbers and capital letters. Must click link for rules and faq’s or will not get in.

0-day tracker, they delete the files after 2 months. The good thing is they have a lot of packs (movie=104, TV=322, music=185, games=44) which are free leech and are never deleted. The music packs are usually discographies, up till a month ago it was mostly mainstream metal ones, recently they've started adding rap artists too. Another recent addition that caught my attention was some xbox packs (the original xbox). Within two days there were more than 100GB in packs.

There aren't any benefits if you're a power user. The 29,000 kiri mentioned are the plain users, there's another 30,000 power users. Once a power user you can just see some extra stats, like Seeder/leecher ratio: 846%.

It's very easy to get in as accounts are pruned daily. If you make an effort, it shouldn't take you more than a couple of days to sign up.

"All newbies seems to have trouble with the ratio, since the download speed is usually at least 4 times as high as the upload speed. An experienced Nordic-T user will look at the upload speed, when he buys a new connection at the Internet Service Provider (ISP). The longterm download speed on Nordic-T will never be higher than 2 x your upload speed, as we do not accept users with a lower ratio than 0.5. Hence, the number of films etc. you may download from most private trackers, depends on you upload speed. Not the download speed, which is marketed to n00bs by the ISP.
This leads to the second possibility to improve your ratio: On all clients you may limit the overall download speed to say 80 % of your maximum upload speed. This way you may download an entire DVD and have your client see to that you do not download everything right away, so that you ratio decreases rapidly. If the latter happens the nasty moderators on Nordic-T will arrive very soon a cut your ... off."

Actually this is a very helpful section with some sound advice, I just pasted the part I found humorous. They do a pretty decent job translating to English.

Here is the rest of that paragraph:

"Cut the connection. That will hurt ! Usually it is a good idea to save some ratio in the bank - so to speak. When something arrives at the browse page, you go for it, with your full download speed. This is not possible, if you always fumble around with ratios near 0.5. "

AND BTW - this is starting to be a pretty decent looking thread, keep up the good work and quality.

Tak!

Some other tips for not getting banned from trackers, and quickly becoming
a power user or VIP. I've gone from noob, to power user & VIP on seveal
trackers by following these guidelines.

This info may be second nature for some or most, and may be very helpful to others,
I learned the hard way about ratios & seeding rules, by getting banned from one
of my fav trackers for having a .7 ratio. ( at the time, I had no idea about ratios,
and I was leeching like crazy, BIG MISTAKE )

1. Before you leech anything from any tracker, try to see if you have any of their
torrents on your hard drive, and seed them to build your ratios and rack up some GB's.

2. If you can afford it, donate to the trackers when they run specials. 1 tracker was
offering 250 GB upload credit for $20 in January, you probably know which one that is.

3. Leech torrents, with more leechers, than seeders, so you can bring your ratio
back to at least a .8. Aim to seed back to a 1+ ratio at all times. I aim for a 2 - 3
ratio on all torrents I leech.

4. If you can't get a .8 ratio, leave your torrents running for a minimum of 72 hours,
and if possible, just leave your torrents seeding for at least 1 week or for as long as you can.

5. Try to seed 1 torrent per tracker at any given time, a lot of users try to seed
way too many torrents at once, and each one is uploading at 1 - 5 KB/s, you'll
never rack up GB's quickly at that rate.

6. If the tracker offers it, and you know what you're doing, and know the risks
involved, you could use the trackers Casino to rack up GB's as well. ( Last night
I racked up 200 GB's playing the Casino at one of my fav trackers )

7. Read the rules & FAQ's for each tracker that you join.

8. Get yourself connectable, reading the trackers' FAQ's will teach you how.

9. Get involved in the IRC chats, and make some friends, who knows where new
connections may lead. ( I've gotten invited to some private trackers thanks to some
cool peeps that I've met )

10. Be sure to login weekly, and seed / leech something at least once a week,
or at the very worst, once a month, most trackers delete in-active accounts with
no activity for 30 - 60 days.
Merely logging in to the trackers does not count as activity.

11. Last but not least, which may be the most obvious of all, always maintain
a ratio above 1.0, and always have at least one torrent seeding at each tracker.

Following the above rules will ensure that your account won't be banned or deleted,
when it comes to pruning / deleting time.

==============

Disclaimer: If the rest of this info isn't allowed here, kindly let me know, and I'll delete it.

I also got into some private trackers ( like Bitme TV, IP Torrents ) by trading in
forums that allow it...

The rest of this post may be a little different than the norm, but for those of you who want
to openly request / trade Invites at a forum ( as you know, it's not allowed here )

Last night, I traded a Super Torrents invite, for an IP Torrents invite at:
http://www.torrentforums.com

These type of trades don't happen often, but I was able to pull it off, since my new buddy
wanted to get into ST badly, after our trade, he shared with me about this new forum
where you can openly discuss and request invites, and it will become invite only in a few days.

http://torrentinvites.2usite.com

Basic stats:

Our users have posted a total of 219 articles
We have 57 registered users

Disclaimer: Trade invites at your own risk, ask to see stats or proof of ratio,
and if possible, get invited first, and once you've successfully signed up, be sure to
send the person their invite right away. Make it a win-win trade.

I've successfully signed up for BitME TV, and IP Torrents doing some clever trades,
will you experience the same results? Nothing is guaranteed in this world, and if you're
not careful you could get scammed, so if you see any red flags, don't do the trade.

Thanks for your post, but the site is shit.

3 total tv episodes. All files NOT RAR'd. Mostly Pron and MP3.
Download speeds of 2 most popular torrents sitting at a steady 25Kb/s TOTAL (I have 30M DL)

Looks to be another fly-by-night running an open source template. Somebody needs to inform these guys that if they want to start a torrent site, they need to invest in a seedbox right off the bat. Who's got 11 hours to DL a movie?

tokoloshe
February 6th, 2008, 05:26 PM
I agree with all of your comments about restricted zone, however I have never understood the obsession with speed and bittorrent. People speak like they are wasting 11 hours to donwload a movie. Maybe if you're sitting with your client open and staring at the kb/s tick away then yes, but otherwise the client runs in the background, and you get on with your life, and then the client happily informs you when the download is complete. Now I admit that I like my downloads to come as fast as my bandwidth will allow, but I know rationally that this is just because I am a well conditioned instant gratification consumer kind of a guy...

Bottom line who actually cares whether you get a movie in 11 mins or 11 hours? How does it ACTUALLY impact your life, other than to take away instant gratification, which IMO is a bad thing anyway....

Just my 2 cents...

How many of those site did you actually check the signup page on? Because I know that alot of them are not open for signup and haven't been for awhile. Also, 90% of those sites never close their signups, so.........

sorry my first post is not a positive one but I don't think I will be the only person to take issue.

You're actaully the second, but you still get to ride in the front passengers seat.

If anyone has read the last umpteen pages, they would know what we want in this thread. There's no excuse at this late date.

This is the second time this poster mass-spammed the thread and twice before he begs for invites, neg rep wrath incurs.

OK, I want you to help others, I really do.

But when I saw your list, I could tell then some of those sites were not open sign ups, I know because Im a member of them, such as SceneHD. They w e r e open for signup a while back, and I posted there to complain about it. So I know for certain they are invitation only.

So I admit I saw a mazyzmadhouse and had never heard of it. It looks just like the same setup of several other BT sites. Same links in the same places. And what do they have? How the fuck am I supposed to know?! Maybe they have midgets riding Shetlan ponies . . . maybe its the same group that has 4 other BT sites . . . I can't sign up for every BT sites posted here just to see what they have that's absurd.

So, while I appreciate that it took you a while to post your entire bloated BT collection, it does me little good.

QUALITY please everyone, not quantity.

you registered for some 50 torrent sites? if so, you arent doing them any good. random site whoring is pointless. just stick to 4-5 decent trackers and youll be fine. theres no need for 50 trackers that all have the same content. and for your use of multiple periods and comas, are you just not satisfied with 1 coma/period or can you not think of what to say fast enough to use a space instead of 20 comas/periods?

I love this site. Thanks for keeping it interesting guys!

But people gotta do their homework. Just because google says there's webpages with open signups because signup.php shows up in the field, doesn't mean squat. At BTRacs, just a useless site. The same sites on there everyday and a giant portion of them are invite only.

200 pages though, damn. Needs a trim! ohh almost post #3000 :icon_rr:

* thanks for cinemagedon Contravene. Lots of gems there :)
