I don't know about a US programming only site but rather more international.
If you aren't looking for UK programming that doesn't make it to the other sites:

I like bitmetv the most but if you are just getting started out you will likely have trouble getting an invite there for a while.

tvtorrents.com is good, lot of content added quickly and I think they allow anyone to sign up without an invite but the catch is you are on a trial membership and need to upload something right away or something along that line. Don't quote me on that. It is best to get an invite there and the inviter can start you out with a 20GB credit or whatever..that's how I signed up. I personally don't care for thier site layout but that is probably just me and not what I am used to and I just never use them much.

Then there is tv.torrents.ro which I believe is still open signup but I can't tell you much about them other than sign up and try them out.
