View Full Version : ZeroPaid.com Reputation Explained

I see. Hopefully that is the case, as I think my noobness, combined with my lack of useful information (at least new useful information) won't win me many reputation points.
It's not so much about new useful info.
There are many times people join simply to ask a tech question.
If you are able to help them with a suggestion that may resolve their dilemma, another member (because new people may want to thank you with rep, but they don't have any. Thought that counts, though) that has rep points, may rep you.
I do anyway. I do not reserve rep for so and so... :icon_salu

Oh, so Jorge got new advertisements.
I really don't know why this thread is still going. Christ, even my points have dwindled down to 1700ish . . the only people that even DESERVE points are Mels and Pototo & company.
The rest of the posters are bottom feeding leeches that havent contributed a GD thing, or frickin spammers like pamela69.
.
Nice to see the former resident sage is still alive and well. :icon_salu

There isn't any sort of Autoban system if your Rep points drop too far in the negative is there? I know Lord of the Dense referenced someone back at post 26 being down beyond 1000, but didn't say anything about it possibly banning the user because of the points. If he's an I-D-10-T (idiot) then ban 'em for being a idiot by all means.

The only autoban system is in Europe. (j/k)
No, we have to physically go in and do the dirty deed. Kinda common sense though, if the points are low enough, the person must be doing something disrespectful or non-beneficial to the community. We would never just lower one's rep for shits and giggles (much).

Okay, just wondering cuz I was thinking if I manage to not get banned and stick around long enough that it would be funny to be sort of a running joke to have this insane amount of negative rep points. I would still be as helpful as I could with answering peoples questions, just that I'd ask to be rewarded with a negative acknowledgment rather then a positive one. Really, I'm a nice guy, and I try to help out as much as possible, I just find it fun to stand out from the crowd a bit.:icon_joke
Edit:
But at the same time, I don't want to piss anyone off! That's why I asked before just going ahead with this idea; see if people were at least 'okay' with the idea. I'd really rather not lose my account over it.
I could add to my Sig line something like
"It's like reputation limbo, How low can I go?" LOL

As long as you read the rules, and don't ask (even in a "veiled" round-about-manner) for invites, you will be fine...
...but I wouldn't add (IMHO) something like you are mentioning, to your sig...it could be perceived as a bad attitude or whining. It's funny the way it is...

hot dog! is this thread popular or what! may even pip the one about pooters balls...
three months on ZP, and i've learned that rep is like money. it has to be earned, and a fool and his rep are soon parted.
actually, i don't think the rep system is required on ZP since no trading is allowed. i recognize regular posters and have my favorites, just as i'm sure all the other regulars do.
coffee anyone?

If I am understanding you correctly, you're asking if any negative rep you receive is given by other members?
If this is your question, then the answer is "Yes."
